There are lots of special people in our wedding party, especially our Maid/Matron of Honor. She'll be there at our side through it all.
Who is your MOH and why is she your MOH?
My MOH is my sister. She and I have been through so much over the years and choosing anyone else would feel disingenuous. I don't know where I would be without my sister. It's truly funny, since she is very much the opposite of me (she's very girly girly, I'm more tomboy). I also find it kind of strange that my younger sister is actually a Matron of Honor (she does not like that I have to call her that lol).

My sister is my MOH as well. It was never even a question in my mind that she was going to be. She lives in Los Angeles so we don't see each other as much as we'd like, but we still talk all the time and are extremely close. I couldn't picture anyone else by my side. Like you and your sister, we are TOTAL opposites, I guess that's why we get along so well! She's not married yet and was sure to rub it in my face that *I* will never get to be a Maid of Honor since I'm getting married. lol

I got a bit teary eyed eading this question,in fact I am also writing the answer...lol... My daughter is my MOH. She will be 16 by then. I cant imagine having anyone else, yes she cant pay for things or organize a shower but she will be helping in all of the aspects. although her choice of dress may not be what I want lol but she is unique like that. she is my best friend and was only 6 when I was divorced so it was me and her(I have a 9 year old boy that is walking me down the aisle.)I added a family pic in the album in my profile,I think she looks just like me :)

I am having two. Since I do not have a sister, my two best friends will be my MOH's - one will be a maid and one will be a matron.

I am having two. Matron of Honor and Maid of Honor. My Maid of Honor is my girlfriend from work. We have been friends for 6 years and she has been an amazing friend throughout my journey finding love as well as through the wedding planning. My Matron of Honor was suppose to be my best friend who I have known for over 20 years and from the moment I have been in my relationship with my FH she has been distant and once I got engaged I have not seen her since. I never expected her to not be a part of my special day but things happen for a reason. My Matron of Honor now is a woman you I had met via my FH. We just clicked and have been inseperable since. She was actually their when I got engaged and recorded it. She was their when I first met my FH and was their when we took our relationship to the next level. So with all that has transpired, I can honestly say I have two wonderful, amazing women who will be standing by my side and are genuinely happy for me. Could not ask for anything more = ) I love them to pieces!

I actually got teary-eyed reading your response. I think that is amazing to have your daughter as your maid of honor and your son walk you. I am sure there will not be a dry eye during that walk down the aisle. Love it!

That is such a beautiful image in my mind. And your son walking you down the aisle...sounds like the sweetest thing in the world.

My maid of honor is my best friend since we were born. Our dad's went to high school together and we actually have pictures of us as infants together laying on matts and playing together. She also has two sisters the same ages as my two sisters so our families were ALWAYS together. In fact our parents are on a cruise together right now lol. We've been best friends forever and can't imagine anyone else standing by my side. I have two sisters but didn't want to choose between them and make my house a war zone. I don't get along at all with my middle sister and the youngest I'm not so close with either. So it was a no brainer :)

I have known my MOH since we were 4 years old. I originally only wanted to play with David (my kindergarten boyfriend). The following year I decided that is was okay to have other friends. We have been through ALOT together. There has been times where we wouldn't talk for months and it was like we haven't skipped a beat. When I got engaged I didn't even have to think twice about who I wanted as my MOH.

I am also having a Maid of Honor and a Matron of Honor. I truly only wanted one, my cousin, as my Matron of Honor. To put out fires on the home front I chose my sister as my maid of honor (I regret every second of it, I should have gone with my gut). My cousin is my best friend. I was her maid of honor 7 years ago and she is more of a sister to me than my sister. My sister and I do not get along. To make matters worse, she started contacted the other girls in my bridal party regarding my bachelorette and did not include my cousin. There is a long history of jealousy between them. I'd go into it but it is long and boring. No one wants to hear that drama. But my cousin is my best friend, we do everything together, her son is my godson and I could not imagine doing any of this without her by my side.

My MOH is my very best friend since we were 5 years old! My parents moved across the street from hers and we've been insuperable ever since. She's my MOH for so many reasons, first one being that I can look at her and she can tell if I'm really excited, mad or about to cry AND why. She also planned a surprise engagement party together with my parents before I even asked her to be my MOH. I still haven't asked officially. Lol I want to make it special even though we both assumed she would be my MOH.
I also will be having a Matron of Honor. My first sister in law. I don't have sisters just two brothers, so when my oldest bro got married it was great, we got along amazing, I even lived with them for a while. She is my older sister, my advisor(when I get cuckoo) and just a great role model. I'm thinking of sending her a package and having her FaceTime me as she opens it, and asking her that way. They live in Florida so I can't ask her in person.

Ok I just got a bit emotional reading this. That's beautiful. And you are right, she does look like you! :)
