Morning Ladies!! Hope everyone is having a great week- Friday is just one day away!!! :)

Today's question was co-created with my FH (He was excited to hear I am BOTW!) So...

1. What kind of cake are you planning on having at your wedding? Not just design, I want to know the yummy details!!

2. How much of that cake will end up on FH's face?!? (1-10 rating: 10 being: we won't have anything to eat bc it will be all over him!)


1. FH prefers a vanilla cake and I prefer a chocolate cake... so we've decided that we will probably just compromise and get red velvet! I like that it's different than what most people get too... and we like to be different!
2. My answer is a 1. There will be NO cake on FH because I would be terrified that he would put some back on me and I am not interested in that! I'm pretty serious about my hair and makeup and wouldn't want that ruined. I've also never seen it happen at a wedding... wonder what that's like!

1. I am a chocolate girl, so in some way it needs to be incorporated. For my mom's wedding she had this amazing cake (same baker) it's a chocolate mocha cake with hazelnut filling. I'm a nutella freak so this is just like a dream come true for me. Also at our Engagement Party we had red velvet cupcakes with Vanilla Bean filling, that everyone was raving over, so maybe we will make some layers the CocoMocha and some Red Velvet.
2. I don't plan on smashing FHs face in cake that's just plain crazy. I'd say a '2' on your above scale, like just a dab on his nose.

1. We're doing cupcakes so everyone gets their way! I like vanilla cake with vanilla icing and red velvet. FH likes chocolate cake with vanilla icing. So cupcakes it is!!
2. I'd say probably a 2-3. I'm gonna have to stand on a chair in order to reach his face to get the cupcake near his mouth so maybe some on his nose and a little icing smeared on mouth.

We haven't discussed what type of cake yet, but I love vanilla and he loves chocolate, so we will see. I would say 2-3. I want to smear a little on him then lick it off..lol

1. We are going to do a 4 tier cake with lace detailing and a thin row of bling around each tier as well. Then topping it with fresh flowers from our florist. We are getting red velvet cake with cookies and cream filling

I'm getting my FH a grooms cake that looks like stacked weights with a custom cake topper that looks like him lifting me on a barbell lol. That cake will be chocolate with reese's PB filling!

2. We aren't putting any cake on each other's faces! My cousin did it at her wedding, and all of my aunts and uncles were like 'ugh thats so tacky!!' lol so we are definitely not doing it now. Although, I wasn't really big on the idea in the first place.

We are doing a 4-tier vanilla cake with vanilla custard and raspberry filling. We're also doing mini cupcakes on the tables during dessert so that everyone should be able to have a flavor they like.

FH and I are both pretty spontaneous, so we might end up with a little cake on us, but not too much.

We're doing a 4-tier marble cake with cannoli filling. When we did the tasting, we both loved that one the most. I don't think we'll be doing any cake on the face, I'm too afraid of it getting on my dress!

My moh is making my cake and I think she already has it all planned out. She knows what I like though so its ok.
Fh and I both agree that its no fun that people don't smash cake in eachothers face anymore. So I know its coming and so does he. Our cake cutting song will be hit me with your best shot. He does know if it gets in my hair or on my dress he's dead.

I don't know about our cake flavors or design either. We haven't thought about that part. Of course I see a million I want on Pinterest, but let's be real here... lol

I have a feeling I will have cake all over my face. He put some on my nose at our e-party and I got him back 10x as bad.

3 tier almond flavored cake. I think, I'm obsessed with Italian rainbow cookies so I really want my cake to taste like that. Maybe funfetti though! I won't know until we go to our tasting in 2 weeks.

My dad is a psychologist and he always told me that he hates when the couple smashes the cake into each others faces b/c it's a sign of hostility. He literally told me that like 15 years ago when we were watching AFHV, and it stuck with me ever since!

2. I would say a 1 on your scale. I do not want to put any cake on FH's face, because I do not want any on mine!

The hall is throwing in a two tier cake for us to cut.. havent decided the flavor yet but I am doing cupcakes beach theme with sugar sand and and blue chocolate shells. flavors are white chocolate and vanilla with vanilla frosting to be made like wave caps so I may spray the top a ocean blue for the affect..

no smashing!! lol

We are having a 4 tiered stacked round buttercream cake that has scrolling on all tiers and fondant snowflakes that have silver dust on them. The flavor of cake is a yellow cake and the fillings are whipped cream, fresh strawberries and chocolate pudding. It was soooo good!!

We will not be smashing cake into each other's faces. We love cake so that will not be wasted

I havent thought about cake yet, I'm not sure how many tiers i need because we are having a vienese hour, but FH likes the cannoli filling so I was thinking one layer could be chocolate with the cannoli filling. I really like the raspberry mouse so I was thinking a layer with that but the cookies and cream sounds yummy too! lol decisions decisions!

This is something I am so excited to do. Since we have a long time it hasn't really been discussed but I love vanilla cake and vanilla frosting. FH LOVES ice cream and keeps saying how he wishes we could get 'Captain Jacks Buried Treasure' desert from Millers Ale House to be our wedding cake lol

There will be NO smashing of the cake in each others faces! I'm paying money for my make up to be done so I don't want it ruined lol!

Hmmm..I kinda would like my cake chocolate with a raspberry filling, kinda like a jelly ring! But I also love Cannoli filling, so who knows!!

I think I want a little cake on our faces, I think it would make for cute pictures. Not a LOT but a little frosting here or there would be fun!

I have not thought about our cake yet. FH does not really care for cake besides ice cream cake. I don't think we can get an ice cream wedding cake lol. It would totally be melted!
I like raspberry, vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet. I like it all lol! FH likes vanilla and red velvet. Maybe some kind of buttercream or whipped cream with red velvet filling?? I will have to see.

As far as cake smooshing, FH has hinted at the fact that he might do it. If he does it, then he will get it back! He knows that I wouldn't like a lot on me, so I am sure if he did do it, then it would be classy and maybe just a little on my nose or something. We are silly and I think it is a cute way to show that :)
