QOTD 7/12/10

The real QOTD
When was the moment when you fell for your FH, when did you know he was the one???


For me it had to be when I was in the hospital, FH and I weren't even dating we had just started talking, we were both only 18 and I had gotten into a really bad accident I pretty much broke my whole left side of my face which wasnt pretty. No Matter how I looked my FH didnt care he sat by side through the hole thing telling me how beautiful I was and that he wanted to be with me no matter what. I knew that he loved me for me and nothing else. From their on I always knew he was the one. Thank god I had a really good doctor and I am almost 100% back to myself. I still think of being 18 so young and sticking by some ones side that wasn't even your girlfriend takes a lot. I love Him

FH and I worked together, I was a senior in HS and he was a senior in College at the time. He was just so different then anyone else I knew and I would always look forward to working with him when we were scheduled to work together!

I fell for him, fell hard, because in addition to being so unique, kind, bright, and funny, he talked to me like no one else did. In High school, conversations were pretty superficial. . .not really talking about real life, complicated stuff. With him, it was soo different! I remember being very disappointed when we weren't working together or he didn't come into the store (it was a video store, ha).

We didn't start dating until a year later!! He was a hard one the catch! (he had an issue with my age).

this is an amazing story!, if you don't mind my asking, what happened that you left side of your face has hurt in the accident? you've got a wonderful guy there, especially one who would do all he did at so young!

I've known my FH since we were about 5 or 6. We were friends throughout high school and in college we became really close. It just kind of blossomed from there

same, we just kind of fell in love...no specific moment!

For me it happened fairly quickly. It was only after a few dates that I couldnt stop thinking about him and whenever we had different plans I wanted him there LOL... I totally fell for him at a hockey game us and a bunch of friends went to.. We were leaving the colliseum and he came up behind me wrapped his arms around and whispered 'I love you' in my ear.. Yeah I pretty much melted right there LoL! He is soo cute Love him SOOOOO much! It was also the fact that when we first started dating I was going thru a really rough time with an eating disorder. I know its not easy to get involved in something like that, so I wanted to be honest and upfront about it. He totally didnt care and told me he would do anything he could to help me and he would be there for me every step of the way. That meant the world to me because that would send a lot of guys running, but not him. He is the most supportive and understanding guy and because of him, my family, and the most wonderful best friend, I have been able to overcome that. Im one lucky girl

I think I started to realize it was love when I started opening up to him about stuff I never usually tell anyone/ever told anyone before. I just felt I could confide in him about anything and he would never judge me. He was also very open and honest with me on his end as well which felt good that he was comfortable enough with me to tell me anything. Being that comfortable/honest in a relationship is very important to me, especially since I never felt I fully had that in my previous relationships. I was dying to just say 'I love you' to him for weeks before he finally got the guts to say it to me first

I was in a really bad boat accident and when the boat when out of control I hit my face(we think) On the side of the boat , I really dont remember the accident at all I was knocked unconscious and thrown into the water my dad brought me back to life by giving me cpr n the i was airlifted n put on a respirator for 14hrs. My mom & dad were taken to brookhaven. I broke my cheek bone eye socket and my jaw in 2 places, and I fractured right above my nose. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks I missed the last week of HIgh school :( and all that fun stuff. My Mouth was wired shut for 2 months I went down to 90 pounds ughh it was really bad. When I woke up in the hospital my sister was there and she told me mom and dad were ok but then I started to try n tell her something she said I was making the letter S with my finger for Stephen so she called him and he was there as quick as he could be and he never left my side.

First date. For him too. There was no going back from there. We were discussing and planning our wedding a week in.

I say soap! Hehe jk..

I fell for fh quickly but I knew I wanted to marry him when he was standing on the alter for his sis wedding

awww jenny, that story gave me chills and I heart your FH. That is amazing!

I can't say just one moment made me realize FH was the one. It was a series of moments where I stopped and thought to myself 'wow, he really is unlike any other guy I've been with.'

SOAP! (my dad is bald, so I know these things )

FH and I were doing the long distance thing for about 6 months (I was in Oregon, he was in NC). I totally fell for him one night in NC when I was visiting. There was a really long line in the ladies room at the club we were at and he sent two girls into the bathroom to make sure I was OK. It sounds stupid, but I knew he really cared about me then and was so unlike all the other d-bags I had dated!

LOL! Me too!! It's been 7 years; i think we just fell in love and have been together happy and knew we both wanted to marry each other

Wow...Jenny, you have the most amazing story to tell. I'm glad to know that everything worked out the way it was supposed to and that you found Stephen!


As for FH and I.....I feel like it's cheesy to say there wasn't a moment...but there wasn't. I knew the day I met him that that was it. I felt like I had known him forever and there wasn't any question. 2 weeks after we met, he took me home to meet his family on Thansgiving and I knew we were on the same page then!
