Lets discuss FOOD. My coffee diet has forced me to think of nothing but food.
Since I am starving & fat, I would love to torture myself some more and here all about you & FH's relationship with food ! LOL

Ohhhh eating is our favorite!!! we can not go a whole day with out eating at least 1 meal.....

i didnt cook until FH and I moved in with each other but now... I LOVE IT!!!! FH loves my eggplant rollatini

We never cook together... the only thing FH cooks is BBQ.... he cant touch me in the kitchen :)

i try not to snack anymore.. this way i can eat the food i want and not feel bad about it....

We love going out to eat... we try to go once a week just to get out of the house.... but Sushi becomes very expensive after a while...

We dont really eat the same things on the same nights of the week... its just what i feel like making that night is what we eat... except tuesdays and fridays... just fish... no meat.... ( i cant believe i got myself into that....)

oh yes... Even though I thoroughly enjoyed my food in the past, I completely and 100% blame FH for me gaining a bulk of the weight I lost back because this kid does nothing but eat! LOL.


Does one of you enjoy food more than the other?
I think it's an equal enjoyment. We love anything and everything and we are open to try new things.

Do you cook?
yes I am the one the does about 95% of the cooking

If so what is FH favorite meal?
FH loves pretty much everything I cook but he loves my burritos/fajitas. He also likes when I make homemade chicken curry.

Does FH cook?
FH's cooking is limited (mostly because whenever he does cook he makes a mess and I yelled at him to get out of my kitchen! LOL) but he can make a mean Shepard's Pie and if I have something already being defrosted for dinner and I am running late, he will sometimes get the ball rolling on that.

What is your favorite thing that he makes?
Definitely his Shepard's Pie and I am long overdue for that!

Do you cook together?
Sometimes but not a lot. It's mostly helping out with the prep of the food.

Do you and FH have a favorite treat?
ICE CREAM! It's our favorite after dinner snack (hence our ice cream bowls as favors for the wedding).

Do you go out to eat often?
Not very often only because we are saving for this wedding and it's an added expense we can do without. We do go out with friends for like wing night at the bar and stuff but that's hardly going out to eat.

What is your favorite resturant to go to with FH?
London Lennies on Woodhaven Blvd (we love our seafood!), Sidetracks in Sunnyside, Chilis, and Toscas and The Wicked Wolf (both in the Bronx in my old neighborhood).

Do you eat the same thing on a certain night of the week, every week?
Every Wednesday is Pizza Night for us. We go to this awesome pizzeria by our house, Rosa's, and then bring it home and watch a movie.

Is there a certain food you eat only on holidays?
I guess stuff like Roast Beef or a cooked Ham. Those aren't things I would just whip up on a Tuesday night.

- We looove to eat! Going out to dinner is probably one of our favorite pastimes.

- I don't really cook but I definitely want to learn. My mom is an amazing cook so I am going to have her teach me all the basics before I move out. For the last few years I have been cooking Mother's Day dinner and it has been a good experience. I'm getting better!

- FH is a GREAT cook. He makes a sausage and shells in a cream sauce that is AMAZING. And his fettuccine alfredo is better than any I have ever had in a restaurant.

- Hmmm...favorite treat. We are more food people than dessert people. We go nuts on appetizers rather than saving room for dessert!

Do you go out to eat often? What is your favorite resturant to go to with FH?
- We go out all the time!!! I like the melting pot because it is like an experience. We also have our favorite little italian place in our hometown. We also like to go to steakhouses!

- I eat pizza every Friday with my family. It is our tradition!

Do you cook? If so what is FH favorite meal? - I still live at home so my momma is always cooking. I will cook eventually, when we move in together but i dont see the point of it now

Does FH cook? What is your favorite thing that he makes? Do you cook together? - FH is the BEST cook!!! I love his chili! he's made it 6 different ways and he thinks he's found THE recipe. It is AMAZING!!!! And we cook together - when we're at his house.

Do you go out to eat often? What is your favorite resturant to go to with FH? - We not try to cuz we're saving but restaurant is Mortons. Fast food - TBELL!!! and Croxleys for wings - usually we go once a week.

Do you cook? of course i cook!!! I LOVE to honestly, Fh cleans the dishes. He likes my meatballs. lol, that sounded wrong

Does FH cook? Um, I try not to let him in the kitchen, he burns eggs.

Do you go out to eat often? not to often, since we are on a budget, but we like Ruvo East in Port Jefferson, it's a really great restaurant!

My FSIL made this excellent cheese dip:


Swiss Dip:
1/2 cup mayo
1 cup grated swiss cheese
1 pkg. cream cheese
2 Tbl. chopped green onions (if you want them)
8 slices crumbled bacon (I use the Hormel packaged bacon bits, found by salad dressings)
1/2 cup Ritz crackers crumbled on top

Bake in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes, serve warm.

LOL yes! FH and I love food. So much so that i think we both need to go on your coffee diet LOL

I cook, but not as much as I would like too. I would say his favorite thing I make is whole wheat linguini with scallops and shrimp. I just made it the other night and it was a hit!

FH is probably a better cook than me. He can make tons of 'real' food but my fav thing he makes is grilled cheese. There's something that he does to the bread that makes it uh-MAY-zing!

We don't cook together because I like to blast music and sing while cooking and he likes to either be in silence or talk on the phone.

We have a favorite treat and it's Pinkberry/Red Mango/Fox Berry frozen yogurt. It's an addiction.

We definitely eat out often. His favorite is Houston's and my favorite is Toku at the Americana Manhasset. We go there every New Year's from our first one together.

Every week is always different, never the same. But holidays definitely. My grandmother is an amazing cook and she's Italian so she makes special things every holiday like manicotti, baked clams, lasagna, etc. I'm trying to learn it all little by little.

Damn... now I'm hungry LOL

- FH and I both LOOOOOVE to eat. I think I may enjoy it more than him because I am more adventurous in trying new foods and I can put away as much as him. Probably why I gained 10 lbs since we've been together!

- I am an awesome cook and obsessed with food network to get ideas! FH is a meat and potatoes guy and it's hard getting him to eat veggies but I try my best. The first meal I cooked for FH were turkey, spinach, wild mushroom meatballs with fresh mozzarella in the middle! Hook, line, and sinker baby!

- FH has only cooked salmon for me. Lol, that's all he can make for some reason. OH! and stuffed lobster!!! That is his mother's recipe and he's made that a few times. Usually, I kick him out of the kitchen but we were bitten by the sushi making bug one time and made it for a week straight. We've also done clambakes for two like 4 nights in a row

Fh would say icecream or doritos with cheese dip. I would say pizza or nachos!

Yes, FH and I used to always eat out but we have cut back ALOT. There is a french restaurant called Cafe Loup in the city which is one of our favorites.

We eat dinner together every night since we work together so we usually get home at the same time! His mom makes several holiday dishes that I look forward to including bacalo balls and shrimp patties...mmmmm

I also make a cheesecake from scratch (recipe from Juniors) which takes forever so I only make it for christmas or thanksgiving

Does FH cook? What is your favorite thing that he makes? Do you cook together? FH can cook, but he doesn't really. It's mainly bc I don't let him. I have to take control of everything and always end up taking over when he cooks and he gets mad at me!

Do you and FH have a favorite treat? We love cheese and antipasto. Sometimes for dinner we will eat cheese, crackers, olives, sopressata, and wine.

Do you go out to eat often? What is your favorite resturant to go to with FH? We used to go out to eat once a week, but we have cut down a lot with trying to save for the wedding. Now we try to go out once a month. Our favorite restaurants are Mill Creek Tavern (in Bayville) and Riverbay in Williston Park.

Do you eat the same thing on a certain night of the week, every week? We don't eat the same thing on certain nights, but we usually vary the same 5-6 meals throughout the weeks. I need more ideas on what to cook, it gets very boring!

We have lots of foods that we only eat on holidays, but that mostly because of family traditions. Here are a few:
Thanksgiving: Escarole soup
Easter: Pizzarustica

Does FH cook? What is your favorite thing that he makes? Do you cook together? FH cooks a lot. He always says he would have loved to go to culinary school. He is really good at it. My favorite thing that he makes is stir fry. He puts all this good stuff in there, its SO delicious! Sometimes we cook together, but we have a really tiny kitchen so its hard.

Do you and FH have a favorite treat? FroYo is our latest indulgence. Its not that bad for us either.

My favorite place to go is Melting Pot. His is this Mediterranean place by our house thats makes delicious chicken dishes. And we are sushi lovers too, so that is always our backup

Hamburgers were always Monday, pasta tuesday, etc. I dont like it because I'm not always in the mood for whatever that day is.
The only thing we only eat on holidays is a whole turkey, because seriously I dont have time to cook it for like 6 hours on a normal day!

I try to cook at least 5 nights a week and I really enjoy it. I think its fun to try new recipes. FH has a few favs - chicken parm, chicken fraincaise, and a chicken fajita soup that I got from rachael ray

one of our favs is going to this lil bar down the block from our apt...they always have an awesome burger special on the menu and great beers, so when we just wanna hang out, we go there, LOVE it!

we LOVE to go out to eat and prob go out once a week...we have soo many favs, but in philly, they have restaurants where u can bring ur own alcohol (i never knew of them before we moved here)...there is one where u can bring ur own tequila, then they mix up margaritas for u...this place is unbelieveable - i think i tell everyone i know about it haa

i grew up eating pasta every sunday and pizza and friday, so we've been keeping that tradition for the most part
we usually only have homemade manicotti for holidays since its a lot of work making the shells and all that...there are prob others too

I don't cook as much as I should. Being it's the summer, I grill everything, but FH's fav meal of mine is hands down Chicken Francese. He could eat it every day. It's too messy to make all the time.

We're been eating at a small place called Gio's in Miller Place late;y. It's not expensive and the food's pretty good.

Hmm, we switch food up so I guess not. I don't cook for us on holidays. we're always at our families. I;m trying to learn how to make amazing brisket like my aunt makes. I did make some kick azz quiches last Thanksgiving

But..my signature thing to make is yodel cake...frozen yodels and ice cream. It's messy but so amazing.

also, my family makes black bottom cupcakes for every occasion..basically chocolate cream cheese cupcakes.

we both love to eat, except our tastes are very different. FH is more of a meat and potatoes kind of guy, and i like to try new things. i think i have more of a love affair with food. FH just likes to eat a lot of it lol, but not good food...lots of chips and whatnot

i love to cook! i think the meal FH likes best is homemade mac & cheese. boring! lol i cook all my 'good stuff' for friends and family....i made a full out lobster dinner a few weeks ago and FH gagged - are you kidding me?? lol

we used to have pizza fridays when we first moved in together, but we don't do that anymore i kind of forgot about it actually! i used to look forward to that when he wasn't working. maybe we'll start that again
