Lets talk Wedding Planning!

Since you became engaged, who has been doing the wedding planning?

Does FH help or have any input?

Are you doing all the planning yourself?

Have you or anyone else gotten into any arguments/disputes/fights over the planning?

**Since we have been engaged I have been doing most of the planning but FH is very involved and helps out a lot. He has come to all of our appts and I love that he has input for everything and hes very into it and excited!

I have lots of help from My fam, friends, his fam and of course my Gawf (LaBellaVita)!!!

No one has Really given me any negative opinions about the wedding planning and everyone has actually been happy and excited. Makes things go smoothly!

So far no fights or arguments about anything! Hopefully there wont be any!!! LoL

well i'm on hold but i have every vendor pretty much picked out etc.

FH is annoying and demands to have a say and it's always crazy. lol

no one else in the family is involved yet. I'm hoping to do this without anyone else. My mom is gonna cause hell.

Since you became engaged, who has been doing the wedding planning? Both of us !!!!!!!!

Does FH help or have any input?FH is so proud he found our venue!!!!!!!! He also made it clear that the dj we picked had to know trini music!!!!!!

Have you or anyone else gotten into any arguments/disputes/fights over the planning? Oh, yes for his parents non-involvement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Things have gotten very heated FH and his mom didn't speak for like 3 months

He came to the RH and the DJ appointments. That's pretty much where it ends lol. Although lately he's been coming up with lots of ideas about the guy's outfits, BP gifts, and the cigar roller at CH. he gets involved in the things that matter to him, which is fine with me. i'm not going to drag him to a florist appt- we all know he could care less about that haha. i try to keep him happy so he'll actually want to marry me when all this wedding planning stuff is over

no, i have a lot of help from some select friends. some people i would have never imagined have been the most helpful...and i just met them this year! <3 LIW

eh, sort of. my mom and sister listen to my ideas and venting, but they haven't helped 'plan' anything. my mom did try helping me with my day of timeline though which was helpful. mainly, they're there to calm me down when i start stressing.

only in the beginning when FH was totally not into planning a wedding...he hated when i even mentioned it! he's like 'it's not for another 22 months, what the hell are worrying about table linens for!!' he finally realized my heart was in the right place and is now a lot more 'supportive' of my wedding planning habit

Does yours or his family help with the plans? Not really, I pretty much show them what we are doing after it's done.

Is their anyone that you wish would stay out of your planning and keep their opinions to themselves? FMIL - she hasn't been too bad, but sometimes it's like...I didn't ask for your opinion, so. We hardly ever talk to her though, so it hasn't been too much of an issue.

Since you became engaged, who has been doing the wedding planning?
I am doing most of the researching on vendors and coming up with ideas our decor and what we should do but FH and I decide together what we are actually doing. I never doing anything without getting FH's opinion/approval.

Does FH help or have any input?
I get his input on everything I am thinking of doing. He's liked all my ideas thus far, esp. all the DIY projects I have done.

Are you doing all the planning yourself?
Yeah pretty much but I don't mind. He's a guy, i know it's not his thing and I'm totally cool with that. But like i said, I do go to him for his opinions and he's gives me his honest input.

Does yours or his family help with the plans?
Not so much. We kinda of like keeping our planning to ourselves and not get too many people involved because then there are too many opinions floating around and neither one of us wants that headache. I have taken my mom though dress shopping everytime with me and FMIL came when I purchased my dress so she could see it. I've also taken my mom to my florist appt. and she will be coming with me for me hair and MU trials. Also my friend/DOC has been a huge with helping me plan out ideas I have in my head and helping me figure out was to stay within my budget. We also took our parents to see the RH before booking because we wanted their opinion.

no cuz like I said, we don't really dish out too much about what we are doing.

A little in the beginning with my mom over stupid little things and this is mainly the reason why now we don't say anything to anyone. FH and I haven't gotten into any fights since we started planning. I'm going to say it wasn't a struggle to get him to come with me to book vendors but he did come to every one but the florist (which I didn't expect him to).

No I thought he would but it seems he doesnt care

Are you doing all the planning yourself? My sister(MOH) will help but she just had a baby so its kind of hard to ask her to do anything

My dad is paying for our RH and mom gives me her input

since we have gotten engaged the FH had done very little...he keeps telling me to do whatever i want and he will be happy but then complains that i dont include him in things...MEN!!!

I get alot of help tho from my BMs, my mom and my FLIs which is great

I would say that I do most of the planning. I find the vendors and show them to FH constantly.

Yes he does help and give me his input when I ask. He has been there at each vendor that we booked. He was most excited when we booked JT and Pennylane. He loves Adam and his work. There was only one meeting with a florist that he did not come to.

Ummmmm a lot of it is by myself with the help and ideas of my LIW girllssss.

I'm sure if I asked for it they would, but I rarely do. My mom is the most involved of the four.

Nope, people have really just let me do my thing, which I am a big fan of!

Both FH and i are doing the planning... (as of right now the only planning we have been doing is booking vendors) but the other day i got a taste of what the serious planning will be like...

I was online looking up ceremony readings and other things having to do with the ceremony and FH FELL ASLEEEP..... i was sooo mad but at the same time glad because if he continues to do this when i am looking stuff up he will eventually have no say in anything

my mom has been driving me crazy the most through out this whole process... .according to her there is SOOO MUCH time and she seems not to like any of the ideas i have or the same views i do about this wedding..... everytime i tell her about something im planning to do it turns in a HUGE FIGHT because she doesnt agree.... when it comes down to it though all the decisions will be mine and i dont care if ppl are happy or not.. its my day and if you cant get over it too badd...... LOLL .... btw.. i love my mom anyway....

No Wedding Planning So far, But the Engagement Party I HAVE BEEN PLANNING LOL...

FH Helps,.... but Little... He says I always choose the right/great things! lol (i think its just an excuse so he dont get to do anthing lol)

Ewww hope not... i will go nuts once i start plannin my wedding...

His fam? NOP.... My Fam Nop... well my fam helps financial

MIL, she was trying to invite PPL i dont know!!! Pppl i only seen onces.... she was tryin to tell me how to do my invitations for the eparty....

LOL, very minimal input, only because it's more of a headache for him to have an opinion.

I guess me....I tend to find the vendors and price it out - he just goes to make sure that i don't drive the vendors crazy w/ my bargaining

Does FH help or have any input? - he does, mostly he says as long as your happy - unless it's really out there

I have 2 sisters a year and 2 years apart from me so they're a big help. FMIL is great - she wants to be totally involved but not overbearing - love her for it.

aww you're so cute and I totally agree with and answer the same as you did except..as you know..NO help at all from his fam except his sister lol..

I've been doing all of the planning, but FH has a BIT of input. I try to talk about things with him all the time and he claims he has no opinion. He is one of those grooms who is like 'You're the bride, I trust you...you're good at this, I'll show up in a suit' but then as soon as I start making major decisions, he's like 'whoa whoa whoa waitasecond, what about this?' He also comes with me to important appointments.

His sister has been very supportive and helps me with planning and ideas.

There has been just a bit of drama regarding the guest list, but I will not elaborate on that, to avoid more drama! A few people from different groups have also asked questions regarding other aspects of the wedding and how/why we're doing things a certain way - we get a few funny looks, but bottom line is that it's our wedding, we're paying, and that's THAT.
