Good morning girls! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Thank you futuremap for making me BOTW! I am really excited to get to ask questions this week. You will be a tough act to follow!

So they say age is just a number in the grand scheme of things, but I am always so curious when I meet other couples about their 'relationship timeline.' I always love hearing how old they were when they met, how long they dated before getting engaged, etc... so with that being said, my first question is...

What is your relationship timeline? How old were you and FH when you started dating? How long were you dating and how old were you when you got engaged? How long will you be engaged and how old will you be when you get married? And finally, are you happy with your timeline, or do you wish things would have happened any differently?

I had just turned 19 and FH had just turned 20 when we met. We dated for 6 1/2 years before we got engaged on January 23, 2013 and I was 25 and he was 26. When we get married we will be engaged for 1 year and 8 months, and I will be 27 and he will be 28.

Looking back of course I am happy with how things turned out, but 2-3 years ago I was that girl dying to get engaged. I just felt that we had been together for so long and were ready! I joke with FH and tell him that if it was society's 'norm' for girls to propose that we would have been engaged 5 years ago, lol. But in all seriousness, I think things do happen for a reason. We bought our house and moved in together and then FH proposed. I think this worked out for us in the long run, and the timing will be good for us when all is said and done. I also never wanted a long engagement, we always spoke about having a 1 year engagement, but as all of you girls know, things happen once you start planning and sometimes it just makes sense to wait a little bit longer. I am also happy that we met young because we have grown together and developed into the people we are today right by each other's sides. I look back on my pictures from college graduation and there he is! I think it helped form a special bond with us.

I just turned 27 and fh was a few months from 27 when we started dating. We got engaged after 3 and a half years and we will both be 32 when we get married.
Our engagement will be 20 months but We would get married yesterday if we could.

We started dating in February 2006 when I was 24 and he was 23, we bought a house in November of 2008, then we got engaged in 2012 when we were 31 and 30, we'll be married in July, 11 days before my 33rd birthday and he will be 31 (32 in Sept)

I kinda wish we had gotten engaged a tad earlier, I mean less than 2 months shy of 7 years when he popped the question, but what can I do, it already feels like we're married!

We have a similar history... we bought our house November 2011 after 5 years of dating and he proposed at 6.5 years of dating. After buying the house I was buying stuff for the house, we were renovating, all stuff married people do. I often felt I was justifying myself to my engaged or married friends explaining that a house is a commitment too... and that we were married without a paper.. they didn't think it compared to marriage!

We met October 28, 2007 I was 21 and he was 30.... We dated for 4 and 1/2 years before we got engaged on my 26th birthday on April 1, 2012... We will be engaged for 2 years and 24 days when we get married .. I will be 28 and he will be 36.. I am happy with our timeline, although I would have liked to been married younger so I can enjoy married life before kids because I wanna have my first kid by 30

Me and FH met through AOL 3.0 through his friends in 1997. I finally met him in person in Winter of 2000. We and everyone knew that there was the connection but we never acted on it. We remained best friends for all those years. We went on our first date April 29, 2011. August 6, 2011 we decided to announce to our fan club that we made it official. I was 32 and he was 31. Then December 23, 2012 we got engaged and we were both 33 years old. When we get married we will be 35 years old.

The only thing we both say is we wish we would of stopped beating around the bush and just grabbed each other years ago.

We were seeing other people when we first met...I was 19 and he was 24. We starting 'hanging out' for probably about a year before we were official, which was October of 2007.

We got engaged on August 18, 2012 - so we were officially dating for almost 5 years. Our engagement is 19 months long and when we get married, I'll be 27 and he will be 32.

When we first started looking at halls, I wanted the engagement to be a little longer so we could save more money and we were looking at later in the year. As the time is getting closer, I really just can't wait to be married to him and start our life together, so I think that everything happened for a reason!

-FH and I met when I was 27 and he was 25 back in August of 2011.
-We were dating for 1 year and 4 months before he proposed, so he was 26 and I was 28.
-We will be engaged for a little under 19 months and when we say 'I do' I will be 30 and he will be 28!
-Although I am SO happy with the timeline and how its gone from the moment I met him, it would have been great to meet him sooner because he has made my entire world have meaning. With that being said, I believe we met when we did for a reason and fate definitely brought us together. I couldn't be happier with our lives together :)

We met when I was 25 and he was just turning 25. We moved in together when I was 26 and he was 25. We got engaged just shy of dating 3 years when we both were 28.
We will be getting married when I am 30 he is 29. We got Engaged in December 2012 and getting married June 2014. I wanted a speedier engagement but also a summer wedding

We met in 2010 when I was 21 (two months shy of 22) and FH was 27. When we got engaged I was 24 and FH was 29 (two weeks shy of 30). When we get married I'll be 25 and FH will be 31 - just perfect! I wouldn't change a thing

When we met I was 28 and my FH 27, we got engaged when I was 29 and FH 28 and when we get married I'll be 30 and FH 29. I guess we are doing one step a year and taking the accelerated track! I had always thought I'd be married by a younger age. I guess things work out the way they do for a reason! It was totally worth the wait.

I now feel like a baby. We met online back when you had to get off the phone to be able to get onto the internet when I was 11 and he was 13. We didn't meet in person/start dating until January 2012 when I was 20 and he had just turned 23. We got engaged 10 months later when I was 21 and he was still 23. When we get married, we'll have been dating for 31 months and I'll be 23 and he'll be 25. There's a piece of me that wishes we would've dated longer and waited until we were older but in the end, as silly as it may sound, I've known since I was 11 that I'd somehow wind up with him. I'm just happy that I get to marry someone who has literally been by my side through everything.

FH and I met when we were both 18, our first weekend out at college. We started dating 6 months after we met. We dated for 3 years and got engaged soon after college graduation, when we were both 22. We agreed to have a long engagement (3 years), as we wanted to get our master's degrees and then have a year of employment to pay for a wedding. We are now both 24, beginning that 'year of employment' and will both be 25 at the time of our wedding :) We have been together for a total of 5 years. It will be 6 when we get married.

I am 95% happy with our timeline. It happened exactly the way I had always hoped it would. However, looking back, I wish we waited a bit to get engaged. I loved being able to take our relationship to that next level, and I loved getting to enjoy being engaged. However, the first two years were difficult. I wanted to wedding plan, but no one else seemed into it. It isnt until now that people (our families) are taking my planning seriously and want to be excited and a part of it all. Unfortunately, I have most of my planning done already, so it would have been nice to have them jump on board earlier. It also puts a lot of stress on a girl booking vendors and signing contracts not knowing where the hell we are going to be by the time our wedding rolls around. It is all coming together now, but the first two years were a doozy. Bottom line, our timeline was perfect for our relationship and the long engagement got me all the vendors I wanted :)

That's like me and FH. One night in 1998 I was on aol and hoping he would come on and when he did he instant messaged me and said Hi and when I read it I said to myself this is going to be the man that I marry.

I loved hearing about everyone's timelines! Seems like we have a wide range of ages and background stories which makes this all even more interesting to learn about each other.
