Good Morning Ladies!

My question today is short and sweet. What was your first impression of your FH when you met him? If it was not positive, what happened to change it?

FH and met through an online site. His pictures made him look very tough and a little 'gangster' if you will lol. Not really my type, but then again what did I know. We went for coffee and he turned out to be an all American type guy who is giant Teddy bear. When I first met him in person I just knew meeting him was different that anyone else. 11 months later we were engaged!

You are going to think I'm horrible but I will explain. My FH was a LOSER manwhore when we met. I've known him off and on for 15 yrs since I was 15 and he was 16. 6 years ago he became my gym partner and about a year after that we kissed out of nowhere and we have been together since. Even he says he was a ***** and has definitely grown up and matured to be the man I love with everything I have.

Our first date I was 30 minutes late... i had to stop in the verizon store to get a new battery and they took my phone and took FOREVER to set it up for me (and i didnt have my phone to call him) - so i know he didnt necessarily have a great first impression! But our date was soo fun - we ate and drank and laughed and talked the whole time - it just felt right! He was a sweetheart then and has continued to be a sweetheart! :)

I thought my FH was a loud, obnoxious, opinionated, stuck-up a-hole! We met at work almost 8 years ago. He immediately stood out on my first day. I stood out to him too - he assumed I was a b-tch becuase I was so quiet, he thought I assumed i was better than everyone. Finally, after working together and ignoring each other for almost 8 months, we spoke... he's still opinionated, but he was not any of those other things. It's amazing what first impressions do - imagine if we never spoke to each other?!?!

BTW - Yesterday was our SEVEN YEAR anniversary!!!!

It dawned on me as we were sitting on the couch last night at like 10pm - lol - we don't keep track of these things so well!

the first time i met FH was at an informal college reunion. not alot of people showed up (typical with my school). but i went with my bff (MOH). she sat across from me and FH sat next to her. FH is really easy to get along with and they were cracking jokes.

i remember texting my bff during dinner saying that i think he like her

its kinda funny thinking about that now.

so, first impression - he was fun and easy to get a long with oh, and he needed a haircut

I thought he was such a DORK! He was wearing this ugly yellow winter coat and had a mushroom cut hairstyle. But his personality came through much stronger, and I was eventually able to throw out the yellow coat and get him to cut his hair

He was the cutest guy i've ever seen. He definitely didn't dress well but he was just such a gentleman and so sweet.

My first impression was 'great music taste!'
We met in school (college) and he said something about my shirt - it was a shirt from The Breeders, a not-super-popular band. He was all gothed out...yes, my Bengali FH was a goth back in the day, haha! I looked at his bag and he had three patches on it: U2, The Cure, and NIN. He also commented on a pin on my bag, which was from a birthday party for Joey Ramone. He was there too!
He earned MAJOR points in my book right then and there. Too bad I was dating someone and made him wait a few years for me!

FH and I met because he was (well still is) the bouncer at the bar I used to go. So, the first night I saw him, I told my friend-ooh look, they finally have some eye candy here...I was pretty much in love at first sight...

Holy Crap... First I thought he was HOT! and I MEAN HOT! When we first met he was built and tan and had the greatest smile. When he approached me I was with my friend who is a Tara Reid look alike and I was sure he was going for her. Well he wasn't and boy was I glad!!!

We were at a club in the Hampton's so we got wasted had fun made out and didn't speak again, until the next summer when he hit on me again... same thing club, drunk, make out, don't speak again

The third summer I walked up to him, and said bet ya don't remember me.... and walked away. I must have intrigued him he followed me, we were talking and same 'ol... only the next day he called and asked me out. That was it we havn't dated anyone one else since

My first impression of him was OMG, he is sexy, hehe. He is tall, has broad shoulders, beautiful green eyes. Once we started talking, I realized he had an amazing personality to match. 3 years later and he proposed.

I just thought he was funny, when i met him he was making jokes about being deaf and stuff like that. I never even thought of him liking me or trying to persue me and that night I never looked at him as oh i might want to date him

we met online and he sounded a big weird dork. I had nothing better to do so I decided to keep the date altho I really had a lot of reservations about the whole thing.
as he walked over and I saw him in person for the 1st time I immediately had butterflies in my stomach - he was so much cuter in person than on any of his pix online!
we ended up having the best date ever and 6 months later we were engaged
