QOTD

QOTD

Good Morning ladies and happy hump day.

I have been thinking about how my vision for my wedding has changed over the years. When I was younger my dream wedding was a princess theme, now, that I have actually been planning my wedding, my vision completely changed and including cultural aspects from my and Fh's West Indian heritage into our big day is very important to me. How has your vision for your wedding changed from when you were younger to now?

Honestly, I never thought much about my 'vision' of my wedding day when I was younger. About the only thing I may have thought I would do is have this big huge ball gown like Beauty from Beauty and the Beast.

As I got older though I did say that I would have liked to get married on a beach someplace tropical so that has definitely changed.

My 'vision' hasn't really changed. I actually thought it would but ended up with a very traditional classic wedding. I thought I'd wear a more 'modern' dress but I ended up getting a big and beautiful lace gown.

My vision has changed somewhat. I always thought I would get married in a big ball gown type of dress and I wound up choosing the complete opposite. I'm also not getting married in a church which really shocked a lot of people in my family.

I honestly never thought about my wedding when was younger. I guess my vision has morphed throughout my 2 year engagement! started out thinking i wanted one thing, but then found something else I loved more. etc. etc.

I also never thought about my wedding at all when I was younger. Back when I was 'younger' than now (25 ) I was convinced I wanted a big beach BBQ wedding. But in the past 5 years I think my taste has matured since I'm going with casual elegance now instead of a keg party.

When I was younger, my tastes were much more simple I think. Also, I'm much more of a girly girl now. I've always wanted a traditional wedding, I just think my style has changed a lot.

i always thought i would have the big princess wedding (horse and carriage kind of thing), but now i think i'm more modern and artsy.

even up to right before i was engaged i thought i didnt want the 'big wedding'. i had envisioned some kind of destination either a really kitchy vegas wedding or maybe up in some mountain lodge and an outdoor snowy ceremony with a very casual intimate dinner after the ceremony of maybe 50 guests tops. but once that ring hit my finger i knew i had to have a long island wedding with all my friends there. plus a small wedding like that woudl really dissapoint my mom and it just wasnt worth it.

i never really thought about my wedding when i was younger.
i was engaged once before and polanning that wedding and planning this time around have beentotally different. i think before i wanted the fairy tale theme with a huge ball gown and all the trimmings.
this time, i am going to timeless elegance. i still have the Moderate sized gown, but everything else is much more understated instead of in your face

When I was younger I always imagined myself wearing a big princess dress and a tiara but that def changed. My wedding choices went from princess/traditional to classic/sheik lol
