QOTD 7/8/08

Good Morning Everyone!! Once again, I need to post this early because I leave at 8:15 for my summer class. Yesterday was the FIRST class and i already got a writing assignment....booooo!!! Anyway, I am going to post the QOTD now and when i come back from class, I will post the TQOTD. Did everyone enjoy that? I hope so!!

QOTD:

Are you and FH doing anything that is going to set your wedding apart from most TRADITIONAL weddings? Do you have any unique ideas that will set you apart from all the other brides and grooms?

I plan on making my programs amusing with some jokes, trivia, horoscopes.. i myself usually get very bored and antsy waiting for the wedding and i think its a great ice breaker for guests when they are waiting for my *** to walk down the aisle.

I am going to have a photobooth, and my centerpiecs are going to be picture collages of all the guests

FH and I want to have a traditional wedding with some fun stuff thrown in between. For instance, for our introduction, we are going to walk out to 'The rocky theme' because FH is a boxer. Dan will be walking out with his blue gloves and i will be walking out in my pink gloves. We will do a little role playing and then have our dads take the gloves off so we can go into our first dance.....

For our first dance, we are going to do the slow dance and then bust out into a crazy dance routine.

I know I have a few more things but I am running late to class so I will have to post more later on!!

We have thought about intricate details or specific event(s) for the day ofAs of now, we're going w/ the standard traditon of the reception.

Although since we are of 2 different cultures (Polish / Dominican) I was thinking of incorporating traditions from both sides....

well...that's not really original....right?

still thinking about it.

We haven't thought of too many details yet... still trying to figure out the major stuff first!

We plan on doing some fun stuff... we want to get living statues of scarecrows for the cocktail hour to 'scare' guests. We're going to have a mask for each guest at their place setting. Candy bar at the end of the wedding.... fun things that people haven't really seen at too many weddings!

to answer the question, we're not doing anything crazy different...we're thinking though!

im doing the photobooth too!

im having a traditional scottish/irish wedding....thats not really....american traditional, no? haha

pretty traditional wedding over here but am thinking of little ways to spice it up. you girls have GREAT ideas!
so far i'm just doing the slow dance and turning it into something different like the cha cha or a salsa song.

Well, we have nixed the bridal party (only having A MOH and Best Man because I have a sister and FH has a brother).

I am not carrying a bouquet because I don't like them. I am just carrying a single rose with ribbon tied on the stem.

We're still working on the major details and booking vendors but we've been to sooo many weddings together that we are going to try to make ours as different as possible.

We're not going to do any of the standard dances - electric slide, etc. No New York, New York or Donna Summers for the last dance. I'm not sure if we will even do a bouquet/garter toss.

We want to do a candy bar and I'd like to have some sort of coffee cart available for guests as they leave. We've just begun the brainstorming.
