If money was no object, would you change your reception hall? If so where would you book? How many people would you invite?

Yup I would. I know it sounds horrible but lets get real here, if money was no object, I would be getting married at The W in Union Square. Or like the Plaza. But since I live in the real world, I did choose a place I love and I am happy with my choice.

My RH? No, not at all. They've been nothing short of WONDERFUL and SPECTACULAR. Seriously, I'm a 2010 bride and I've met with my BM at least 5 times about different things in our contract. They are doing everything they can to accommodate me.
Things I would do if money was no object:
* Pay for the rooms/flights for all of our OOT guests. * Hire a band. I really want one, it's not in the budget. * Hire a wedding planner. I HATE details and appointments and all that stuff. I want it to look pretty and finished... I do not want to pick it out. Invitations are giving me a migraine.
This is not wedding related, but I'd buy a house. I'm pretty low maintenance so Platinum Wedding stuff isn't my style but there are other things I want.

I would: *Pay for flights/hotel for my OOT family *Pay for BMs and MOH dresses, hair and makeup *Pay for my bachelor party to be in vegas

We'd have our reception at Gotham Hall in the city.....place is amazing http://www.gothamhallevents.com/ and we'd be sure to make it the wedding that says 'us' but with lots of money
We'd probably that we'd love to invite now but unfortunately we can't afford to.

It's funny that you asked this because right after we signed the contract, FH said to me, you know I think even if we were millionaires, I would still want to have the wedding there. There'd probably be other stuff I'd change or add, but the RH I'd keep.

i wouuld probably say yes because although my hall is nice, a big seller was the price. i would have probably shopped around more and booked the works- viennese, extra for cocktail hours, splurge on flowers, etc.

Well I mean, Oheka Castle would be nice..lol
but I do love my RH, if anything I would pay them off more money to make sure my event was the only one taking place or I would spread the wedding into a week of events to make it last longer and wear a new wedding dress every day! lol

I'd probably have a smaller wedding and rent out a resort in Aspen or the Caribbean, I'd have a wedding week! I'd probably get my dress from Mark Ingram Bridal Atelier and I'd have Preston Bailey just plan my wedding.

i haven't picked a RH yet, but if money was no object i would still be looking anyway. i haven't had any of those omg experiences walking into any of the RH's yet. i think if money was no object i would go all out on other things. like band, flowers, cake, & i would pay for all the bridesmaid dresses.

I wouldn't change my reception hall. I would just move to the bigger room and pay the price difference. I wouldn't change my guest list. I would add a lot of the extras. I would pay for my bridesmaids and MOH dresses and hair/makeup. I would rent hotel rooms for all the OOT guests and my friends on LI who will end up drinking too much the night of the wedding.

I would not want to change my RH hall, I would go more over board with flowers since I love flowers.

Re: QOTD 8/14/08
If you asked me this before I booked a reception hall I would have said I would go somewhere in the carribean or mexico and have a huge wedding on the beach because I can then pay for my entire (HUGE) immediate family to go. Most of them deserve a vacation anyways.
But now, I would say that I would just take all the money and add lots to where I have all ready booked. I love the Fox Hollow and so does my FH. I would want to book the entire hotel for all my guests and add tons of flowers, lights, lots of desserts, and a huge custom cake. I would also pay someone to do all the DIY's that I have planned and started to do.
All though I do secretly still want to get married on a beach so If I can move the Fox hollow onto beach front property....hmmm
