~~QOTD 8/18~~

Ok, sorry for all the drama that ensued yesterday over this. I'll finish out BOTW so I'm not abandoning post. I should feel honored that Christina picked me to begin with.

OK so I'm really ticked that my favorite radio station (101.9) went off the air and in its place is now a 24/7 news station.

My QOTD is what is your favorite type of music you listen to, is it the same as FH and if you could see anyone in concert who would it be and who would FH want to see?
___________________________________________
I listen to alternative and sadly there are no more alternative stations in the area.

FH listens to top 40 and every now and then he shocks me by downloading something I would listen to.

If I could see anyone in concert it would be Fleetwood Mac, and oldie but a goodie. I have honestly been to so many concerts over the years that I have seen just about everyone I ever wanted to see and then some. FH would probably want to see Taylor Swift, he loves her and her music for some odd reason.

ETA: I had the wrong date up!

First off, glad to have you back, but please stop apologizing, its really okay!

I agree with you that its sad there are no more alternative stations. It's not my 'favorite' but I grew up listening to Nirvana, Soundgarden, the Smashing Pumpkins, etc. It's my roots!

Fh and I have always agreed on most music. We both love Speedcore, Gabber, and Jungle (especially Jump-up). Its okay if you don't know what any of that is, I think most people don't.

FH's favorite concert would be Mindless Self Indulgence, no question. I still have a guilty secret pleasure for Oasis.

Me and FH both loveee Coldplay and Goo Goo Dolls; we have very similar musical taste.

This is sooooo ridiculous but I have ALWAYS wanted to go to a Britney concert I've loved her since I was little so its something I just need to see one day LOL!

ETA - FH is dying to see Yellowcard live :)

I am really big into Dave Matthews, Bare Naked Ladied, Ben Fold, etc. I also really like Broadway (I know I am pathetic!)

FH's father was in the Doo Wop business (His dad actually is tied with Elton John for the most sell outs at Madison Square Garden) so he is into a lot of older music.

I have always liked a wide variety of music so no disagreements when it comes to music.

Other than I REFUSE REFUSE REFUSE to be introduced to the reception to I;m a Low Life by Kid Rock (Yes FH actually wants us to do this!)

I honestly listen to a little bit of everything... house, top 40, rap, r&b, rock, etc.

If I could see anyone in concert though it would be Billy Joel (again) or MB20 (sadly, that won't happen though since they're not really together anymore lol). FH isn't as big into music as I am so he's really indifferent when it comes to concerts.

I agree stop apologizing. Sometimes days can be a bit stressful, and it's easy to be overwhelmed and upset at times! We're so happy that you decided to come back. It's great having you on the boards and we'll miss you if you leave again!!!

Anyway, I listen to alternative, and some punk. My FH is more of a rock/classic rock kinda guy. I also listen to a little bit of Pop, and my FH can't stand it. He hates when he goes with me on long drives because some of my music drives him crazy.

FH and I are both crazy Reggae and Soca fans. And we actually just got back from the Caribbean Concert Series at Six Flags. It was so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!

I too was disappointed that 101.9 went off the air however you CAN STILL listen online.

I like a mix of music, but really tend to love Jam Bands and Guitar/Acoustic shows. My top faves are Dave Matthews, Grateful Dead (saw 14 shows before Jerry died), Jack Johnson, Led Zep, and other related groups.

I can listen to almost anything except heavy Rap, heavy Metal, and Country. I hate country really really badly.

FH loves the 80's, and I do too. He doesnt really love DMB like I do, but he puts up with it.

Stop apologizing, I love top 40 stuff and I also love stuff from the past 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. FH listens to about the same as me except he loves to listen to metal. Which I don't mind on occastion.

I listen to their app on my iphone still. I did find a great station out of Minneapolis? Its through the I Heart Radio app and I think their call letters are City 97, they play stuff like DMB, Jack Johnson, Ray LaMontagne, Goo Goo Dolls and my new favorite Scars on 45.

I hear you on the 101.9, there are NO rock/alternative stations anymore. I freaked when they were cancelling 92.3 K-rock.

I LOVE music and I listen to all types, I'll go from Frank Sinatra to Heavy Metal!
My FAVE band is Dave Matthews Band, I cannot count how many times I have seen them live and will continue to do so! I actually got FH to like them too

FH enjoys country music the most, and he's introduced me to alot of it which I like now. I think he'd love to see garth brooks in concert!

I wish I had counted how many DMB shows I have been to in my life, but I havent. On a good guess, I bet I am at or near 40. I love them so much. Best show ever was a 1000 person seat auditorium (Dave and Tim R) at Bloomsburg Univ in PA, circa 1996, so they were big but not as huge as now. It was amazing, tingles down my spine when I relive it in my brain. lol

I like some of the more 'pop punk' kinda music like Fallout Boy and Simple Plan, etc. Also like Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys.

i wanted to cry when i heard 101.9 was going off, bad enough they took away 92.3 for yet another horrible pop station, there is no good rock stations anymorre

me and FH are more metal heads and hard rock. i still love my classic rock and oldies tho. but when im out with the girls and had a few drinks i can deal with the pop music but my heart belongs to Rock, h ell its the theme of our wedding lol
