a friend of mine was in a dance show in the city so a whole bunch of people went to see her perform. including FH's best friend who was dating a friend of mine at the time. when we got back to brooklyn we all decided to get something to eat. so we picked up FH (who had just broke up with a friend of mine via an e-mail) got something to eat & FH came over my house & we watched the rock (from wrestling - i was a big wrestling fan) on saturday night live & then just talked for hours.

I didn't really consider it a date at the time because I didn't have any expectations since I had been through nonsence with other guys. We was working together but had never really had more than 10 minute conversations. We went bowling and I thought it would be arkward because I didn't know if we would have stuff to talk about. There was not a silent moment the whole time. We just meshed on so many levels. The rest is history.

Our first date was basically just him coming over after work, we hung out for a while and took my dog for a long walk, and then went to the beach and spent a few hours there talking until like 3 a.m. (on a Wednesday... we were in college, I'm far lamer now.)
Our first real going-out date was a week and a half later, we went to the movies to see Amityville Horror, haha, and it was pouring out so he met me at the car with an umbrella, and then after the movie he took me to this place Slate in Bayside, a pool hall/lounge place. It was funny because he said 'we could go get a brownie bowl at Uno, or go to this pool hall bar' and I secretly really wanted the brownie bowl but didn't say so because I was being such a girl, so we went to Slate, but like two weeks later I made him take me for a brownie bowl! Now we live in Bayside and Slate has changed names like, 4 times, I think it's now called Cue.
lol i live in douglaston/bayside lol i used to go to slate all the time it changes so many times i dont even know the name lol... and u remember the cafe up the block byzynthios thats something diff now also..
