~QOTD 8/23/11~

Ok I am sure this question has been asked a million time but I figure if you are like me you like answering it anyway!

So - what was your first date?

For us we had met online but we talked over the phone for a a while because it was in September and there were Jewish holidays and I also had a really bad cold at one point and didn't want to meet him the first time with a bright red nose! We finally met the first weekend in October. For some reason I actually let him pick me up at my house (we lived less than 10 minutes from each other). This was something I had NEVER done when I met someone online.

He took me to the East Village for Ethiopian Food (of all things). And then we went home.

I went out with someone else on Saturday
but saw him again on Sunday. It took me a little bit to know that he was the one!
And we have been inseperable since!

Our first date was walking around the neighborhood... getting some pizza... then cuddling and kissing on our friends couch.. then he asked me to be his girlfriend.

We were 16 and friends for years, so our first date was a little different..

our first actual date was on FH's bday- we went to Ruby Foo's for dinner, then Serendipity for desert...it was fun!

My First official date was awkward...I hadnt seen jay since i was 7 years old so he didnt know if he was gunna see me like a little sister or as a date... he is 8 years older than me and when i was younger like 6 or 7 i moved into jays house with my mom... when my parents split.. his mom was a friend of my mom.. anyway there was a falling out between our mothers so we lost touch. when my father passed away i reached out to him for the 1st time.. i always had a crush on him.. literally since i was like 7 and i was always too young.. well any way it was at the movies and dinner.. and he clearly didnt see me as a little sister hahah

We also met online. We also were talking on the phone and emailing for a few weeks before we actually met.

I actually also let him pick me up at my apartment (something I also never have done when I met people online. I did make him call me and I came out to the parking lot -- this way he just knew the complex I lived in and not the actual apartment).

We went to 56th Fighter Group (which is where we are having our Rehersal Dinner) for dinner. and then went to Chillis for drinks and to watch the rest of the Mets game. Then we went to Coldstone Creamery for ince cream.

It was a great first date and definitely was not ackward at all!

We went bowling (Woodhaven Lanes) and then went for ice cream at Eddie's Sweet Shop on Metropolitan Avenue.

We met at a bar, and went out for drinks on our first date. I was in denial that it was even a date.

He wanted to pick me up and I wouldn't let him because I am a ball breaker. I didn't let him pick me up until the 4th date!

The very first time we met was just for drinks.

Our first date he took me to an Italian restaurant near union square and then we had drinks at hearltand brewery. It lasted 6 hrs!

we never did the whole 'date' thing actually, we met at a bar and i figured it would be like every other meet at a bar story and i would never hear from him again. but that next week he actually called and asked me over to watch napoleon dynamite lol

then went out to the bar again lol

We had two dates one was right before my birthday when i was working and FH had taken me for pizza place while I was on break and the other first date we went to go see Corspe Bride and went back to his house and looked at his photos from his various trips to Europe and Austrila.
