QOTD 8/3/10

What do u do for birth control?

FH and I currently use condoms, but prior to that my fav hormonal form was definately the nuvaring! So convenient! I want an IUD, but since were thinking of 'trying' next yr, its not worth it. So, what is urs and FH/DH's method?

P.S. as I'm writing this I totally thought of Elaine Benace's search for her sponge and wondering if he's 'spongeworthy' hahaha

The pill.

I take the pill continuously (skipping the iron pill in the end of the pack). I am actually on one of the strongest bc pills they make..for other health reasons. We're gonna start trying for a baby after the wedding though.....so this should be interesting!

i was on the pill for about 8 years and after the wedding I went off....not to TTC but bc I just wanted to give my body a break. We are now using condoms or the old fashioned pull and pray method

I went off BC in january and havent had my period since

for now we pulllll until I get checked out after the wedding

At this point we don't care if it happens even if we're not actively trying.

I used to be on bc pills though.

Nuvaring and love it except it makes me gain weight so I stopped taking it to try and lose some weight before the wedding... I'm going to go back on it just to make sure I don't have an oh so special visitor for the wedding nad just starve myself so I don't gain any weight back :)

I started on Orthotricyclen when I was like 17, now through my insurance, I use the generic form, trisprintec. Have never had any issues

For the first 4 years we used pull & pray. Then I started using the patch & that lasted 5 years. This past year I have been using the pill. However, recently I started migraine medicine which makes the pill less affective so we are back to pull & pray on ovulation days.

I am going to see my doctor & neurologist in September because as a frequent migraine headache sufferor I really should stop taking BC all together. We will see what happens.
