Good morning ladies. Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! I am going wedding shoe shopping with my mom in a little bit. Which brings me to my QOTD...

What is your something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue?

I don't have any clue with mine yet! Something new will be my dress & shoes. I will incorporate blue into my garter for the something blue. After that I got nothin'!

My new is my dress. My blue is the quotation that will be sewn in my dress for my loved ones who aren't here. My old or something borrowed is my grandmas pearl that will go in my bouquot.

My something old is still undecided... My grandma (My dad's mother) gave my sister a lace shawl that she could wear at nighttime when it got cold (she had an outdoor wedding in VT so it got chilly)... I think my grandma will give me something else of hers to wear as well.

My something new is my dress!

My something borrowed is a pin that belonged to my grandmother (my mom's mother who passed away 3 years ago). My sister used it on her bouquet, we are lending it to my cousin for her bouquet in October at her wedding, and then my cousin is lending it to me for my wedding. We think it would be a cute little tradition to start in our family.

My something blue is my shoes. I got the manolo hangisi jewel satin flat in blue (the shoes from Sex and the City, but in a 1/2 in flat instead of a heel).

And a sixpence in my shoe!! This is an irish tradition (my FH's mother is VERY irish) and the poem goes 'something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in your shoe'. My FH's aunt gave me a silver sixpence that belonged to my FH's grandfather and I will tape it to the inside of my shoe. According to the tradition, the sixpence in your shoe is supposed to be for good luck and to ensure that your marriage will bring you wealth and good fortune

Something Old-???
Something New- My dress!
Something Borrowed- ???
Something Blue- There is blue on my Bailey I Do Uggs

Originally I was going to borrow my moms diamond tennis bracelet that my sister also wore on her wedding but it just doesn't go with my other jewelry so I don't think I am doing that, I am not quite sure what I can borrow... I have to give it much more thought. My something old could be a pair of undies but I think I want a little bit something sexier which means that will be new. Something old.. hm? I don't know. This is tough ladies!!

My something old is something that my grandpa had. He was a huge civil war buff and actually had a badge of the two swords crossing that they wore on their helmets. That will get sewn into my dress somewhere to remember him.

My something new will be my dress/shoes.

I wanted my something borrowed to be my grandma's pearl necklace but I don't think it goes with my dress so I have to figure out another one.

My something blue will probably be those I Do decals on the bottom of the shoes. My color is tiffany blue so it'll also get worked into the bouquet somehow.

I have no idea yet at all!

Most likely my something blue will be a piece of my father's old shirt or tie cut out in a heart and sewn into my dress .... he passed away when I was 11, so I'd really like something close to him to be close to me on my wedding day!

Old: I have my great grandmother's rosary beads from Italy, we aren't having a Catholic ceremony but I plan to have them wrapped around my bouquet regardless.
New: My Dress
Borrowed: Not sure Yet
Blue: My Garter has blue, and I plan to get Blue shoes as well.

I also have a six pence to put in my shoe, which FH actually found and gave to me about 3 months into dating, he said here save this for our wedding, and I can't wait to put it in my shoe for Luck! Wait can that count, I borrowed it from FH? hahaha

New is my dress. Blue is my garter (and I possibly may be wearing navy shoes. I'm not positive yet) no clue on the old or borrowed.
