Yay!!! it's Thursday!!!!!! Almost the weekend!

Today's question (NWR):

If you were back in HS/College what would your career goal be? Would you still choose the same thing you're doing now?

My career goal was and is to teach. I love it!! But I think I would have went for a dual certification in Spanish and Special education. I would be better prepared for anything the job market has for me. If not that, I'd go for elementary ed. Those kids are too cute to work with!!

probably not. i would have went to pharmacy school like i had intended on. silly me, i followed my heart. i love what i do, but the pay just isnt worth it. and i ended up in the same amount of school loan debt.

i would have still followed the same track in college, but i definitely would NOT have gone to grad school and spent 6 years getting my PhD. I would have been a genetic counselor instead. Research really isn't for me

i wanted to be a psychologist, psychiatrist

currently, im a personal lines insurance broker--- i dont know how it happened, but its how i met FH, and i became good at it, so it stuck

I sometimes regret not going to the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse since I wasn't 100% sure that's waht I wanted to do when I was in H.S.

I think in the end I made the right choice but I feel like I would've had a clear direction in a specialized program instead of wishy washing for the first 2 years of undergrad

In high school I wanted to be a sidelines sports reporter for ESPN. I went and studied journalism in college, then realized I had a knack for PR instead, and switched over.

Graphic Design and Police Officer!

Still love the idea of both! I still do Graphics Design and Art and Im on a waiting list for Police work haha

I would have listened to everyone who told me when I was starting college to major in Child Study and become a teacher. Instead I have a Bachelors in Business Administration and am now going to Grad school to switch careers and become a teacher. I am grateful that there are programs out there for teacher prep that allow you to easily transition. If i had to do a second Bachelor, I probably would never had decided to make the switch.

I love what I do...i'm an accountant...but I think I would have tried to be a lawyer. At one point in college I was taking alot of business law classes and accounting classes and I was torn about what to major in. I obviously picked accounting and make great money doing it but I must say I REALLY love to argue! lol I think I would have made a great lawyer.

I always said I wanted to be 'an artist' when I was younger. I'm a photographer so I suppose I followed my dream.

Granted, this is after about 10 years worth of being a CEO's b*tch that I finally followed my dream. lol.

My first BA was in psychology and I am back in school now to get my bachelors in nursing. I wish I would have done it the first time around. My parents paid for my first bachelors so now I am taking out loans for this one and if I would have just done nursing in the first place I wouldn't have any loans and hopefully a good job by now

i love what i went to school for which is business management and marketing

just wish i graduated on time so i could of got a good job before the economy crashed

I loved what I went to school for (esp my masters in forensic psychology) but it's totally useless right now.

I wish I hadn't rebelled away from accountancy (what the rest of my family does) because I'd be rolling in it! Now I just work in social service!

Yes iwould choose the same career. I love teaching. I have always wanted to be a teacher.
