I was watching one of my all-time favorite movies, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” recently and it made me think of this question:

What is the craziest/boldest/scariest/most impulsive thing you’ve ever done “in the name of love?”

A few months after Jason first came to visit me in NY, I flew to Dallas to visit him for a few weeks. It was so hard to go back to our long-distance relationship after being together every day and seeing what it would be like to live together. We were both smitten and couldn’t stand it when I had to go home. So...

Two months later, I packed the bulk of my worldly possessions in my car and drove 1,500 miles to Dallas (almost straight through) to move in with him. It was so hard to leave everyone I knew behind—and it was the road trip from hell btw. My friends and family thought I was insane and that Jason would turn out to be an axe murderer. But, 3 years later (when I couldn't stand being away from my family any longer), he packed up his whole life and moved to NY with me! And here we are, planning the celebration of a decade of ups, downs, and sideways—together!

I'm a pretty tame lady, so I would say just meeting someone from online is 'crazy' for me. Taking that leap because I knew the connection I felt was real, and that I needed to see more of him, was my crazy step. Most who know me would never expect I actually was brave enough to put myself out there and actually meet someone lol

The craziest/boldest/scariest/most impulsive thing I've ever done “in the name of love in the past was giving everything to a disgusting ex. Money, credit cards, cars and all that it was STUPID obviously but I was a fool and it wasn't love it was actually manipulation and abuse.

Regarding FH and I, I would have to say that on our second date I told him something very important to being able to move forward with our relationship and wanted to lay it all about because we had already been speaking for months and were invested in one another but wanted to lay everything out and say take it or leave it and my FH took it hehehe

Guessed I picked a tough one today! LOL.

As much as I love to plan and sometimes play it safe, I am also very impulsive. Jaime--I have definitely done the same thing with the credit cards and laying it all out up front. And, Marie, I have also gotten a love-inspired tattoo on an impulse. The day after we got engaged (on vacation on Dallas), I got my 'puzzle piece' tattoo, which is an outline of the state of TX (I hated TX when we lived there lol). I blame the engagement high for the rash idea, but don't regret it....except when random people ask me the annoying question, 'when are you going to get that filled in?' Then, I want to scream! Haha

I've been thinking about this question all day. I guess I'm pretty lame. I cant think of anything. OR It was so stupid my mind blocked it out permanently.

I've been trying to think of something all day too! I think I'm just really boring.

I think the 'craziest' thing I ever did was give FH my debit card and PIN to go to the bank and get money for me when we were dating less than a year. But I mean, that all worked out. Another 'crazy' thing I did was buy FH a Christmas gift (our first one) with a credit card when I wasn't making any money to pay it back because I wanted to get him something really nice that he wanted.

I think I'm just super lame because I really can't think of anything. Or like Kristen said it was something so stupid that I blocked it out lol.

Sorry guys! I didn't mean to stump anyone lol.

You know, when I first read Kristin's post, I thought she was saying that my question was stupid. And I wanted to cry lol. I think Jason's 'concussion brain' has rubbed off on me! Haha

I think the dumbest thing I've ever done in the name of love was let my heroin addict ex back in my life not once, not twice but THREE times. Finally after the third time where he stole from me and my family... I had him arrested.

This is a really good question and I am apparently so boring!!!!!
The only thing I can think of was stealing my FH's Navy dress whites (his most cherished possession). I stole them to have it framed for his birthday this year but he fully lost his sh*t when he realized they were missing. Not the most adventurous, but I thought he'd KILL me when he realized I stole them because he lost all his other things he had from his service in the Navy when he finished his time.

good question! I guess one the craziest thing I did was move in with Richie after only 6 months of dating. 3 of those months I was living in Seattle for an internship and we skyped everyday. So it was 3 months in NY, 3 months of skype, then cohabitation! good thing it worked out!!

Exactly this! I said yes to moving in with FH after only 5 months of dating, and we moved in together about 8 months after we started dating. My family is also super traditional and I knew that it would upset them a lot if they found out we were living together before we got married, but I said yes anyway, coz I knew I loved this man. I'm so glad I did move in with him.
