~*~*~ QOTD 8/8 ~*~*~

I want to thank you all for being so patient with my questions. I feel bad because not everyone is on at night...

I will have your new BTOW at 10pm!! (this will be exactly at 10!!!! )

Today's question:

All of our wedding planning is geared to making our guests enjoy every minute of it. I know we'll enjoy it too but what about things we do for ourselves?

What are we doing to better ourselves outside planning our wedding??? (i.e. buying a home, new job, new workout etc.)

For myself, I started p90x, not for the wedding, but for me. Looking at myself in the mirror everyday and complaining was getting me nowhere so I decided to change my mindset so I can feel better. (my self esteem has never been too good).

During this time, I will also be looking for a rescue dog. I want a dog (badly) and figured a rescue was a good way to give a dog a chance at a better life.

I love planning my wedding, but I try to get some 'me' time where wedding stuff is not on my mind...

new BTOW later...

FH is moving into my house so we can save for a house. Im going to try and get a new job soon or at least a second job. Plus trying to get on a diet to lose weight for the wedding

This wedding has definitely motivated to me to do 2 major things:

1) squashed my credit card debt
2) get in the best shape I can.

The debt has just been on going since college - my parents paid for tuition, I paid for everything else (hence the revolving credit debt). I have always tried to get rid of it but it never seemed to go away. For the first time in a long time I am finally starting to see that debt go down. I just completely paid off one card which has definitely made me feel a little more at ease and it shows what I am doing is working. Hopefully by the tme the wedding rolls around it will be down to almost nothing. FH and I have already discussed that whatever is leftover we will pay off after the wedding and start fresh and then we can focus entirely on saving for a house.

The getting in shape I can also say is finally starting to show. The upcoming wedding has definitely been a big motivator in eating right and hitting the gym and getting in some form of working out where I can (I walk a lot more now than I ever have in my life). A big motivator as well is the 2 day Avon Breast Cancer walk I will be doing with FSIL in October. I would also really love to be in the best shape I can for after the wedding when FH and I plan to start a family.

I think this experience is really helping me to open up and let other people help me, though it is challenging.

I am so fiercely independent, and I live thousands of miles from my family...I guess over the last few years I've learned to rely on myself for everything.

Firstly my FH really challenged me to let him be there for me and share my entire life with him, and now I'm working on opening up more to his mother, and function more as a family person, that a lone ranger ;o)

Im going back to school in september for medical billing and coding, so i can hopefully get a better job since my BA is just hanging on the wall.

We are also saving to buy a house soon after the wedding

I go to grad to school to better myself and the FH has gotten a second job.

We thought that would be the best thing to do.

We also both work fulltime. SOOOO now we are working on trying to plan 'us'time.......I'll keep you posted.
