QOTD 9/02/10

What are your wedding colors and why did you pick them?

I had always wanted light pink and green... but FH felt that was too springy for an October wedding... I had bought my co-worker a vase and filled it with potpourri for her birthday a few years ago and she put the vase in the main room of the office and I happen to look at the colors and decided I liked the scheme, I looked online and found out the colors are pretty popular for fall... so I wanted 'raisin, eggplant, plum and leaf'... but my BM dresses didn't come in raisin, the closest was wine or sangria... so I went with the sangria with the eggplant, green and light pink accents.

Ours is blue and ivory- Ivory because my dress is Ivory. Blue because it is both FH and my favorite color. I kinda wanted pink but when I brought it up he did a puking sound- he hates pink!!

I've wanted to have a December wedding since I was little. I originally wanted it very Christmas-y but now I've gone away from that.

Bright pink, orange with hints of yellow. We chose these colors because FH's favorite color is orange and he was all about having it as part of the color scheme (weird I know). So, being that we are still technically the summer, I didn't want the orange to look too fallish so we went for summer brights. I am in no way a pink person, but the colors really pop next to each other.

Orange & Hot Pink...

Because I thought they looked great together... and ive never seen anyone that used them

We picked navy blue, lavendar (we didnt use it too much though). black and celedon green.

I have a hard time coordinating...so it will probably look like a hot mess. I picked navy because it looked good next to my champagne dress. It was that or eggplant...FH vetoed the eggplant.
