~QOTD 9/10/11~

So some of you may have seen me whining about my honeymoon on FB yesterday. Well, I have an amazing FH who understood my complaints and is willing to scrounge together some more money for a 'real' honeymoon. Now I need ideas!

Todays question is: Where are you going on your honeymoon and why?

We want to go somewhere tropical that we haven't been, and will probably never have a chance to go again. We're thinking either Tahiti (Bora Bora or Moorea) or the Maldives

This was such a hard deision for us because we are West Indian and have been everywhere in the Caribbean.

We knew we wanted a relaxing vacation because we will be extremly tired after a 5 day wedding, in the end we decided to go to Sandals Jamaica. FH has been there but I havent so I am really excited!

Bora bora looks gorgeous! But so expensive!! We are thinking of hawaii, a mediterranean cruise or aruba so far

Moorea and Bora Bora. To me, it's a once in a lifetime trip and we wanted to go somewhere we'd never forget.

I think we are set on St Lucia. I am between 2 Sandals there, and may do a split stay just to get both experiences. I have been to most of the Caribbean yet I have not seen St Lucia yet. It's prob as close to Hawaii as I can get, locally

We are going to Hawaii. We wanted to go somewhere relaxing and a place that we would most likely never go again.

We havent decided yet. FH keeps mentioning Hawaii but I can't stand long plain rides so probably somewhere closer to the east coast. My friends have all done St Lucia so I kinda don't want to go and have the same pics as all of them. We need to keep investigating.

We want to go to Europe! The plan is to go to London, Amsterdam & Paris. Hopefully if we can swing it, we'd also like to spend a couple days at the end of the trip at a beach in France. We thought about a whole beach vacation felt we can do that any time and Europe is pretty once in a lifetime!

Ladies who are thinking about Hawaii...DO IT. It's the most amazing place I have ever been. The plane ride is crazy long, but so worth it. FH has agreed he might like to go, but we'll see.

I want to go to London, Paris, and Rome. Stay tuned.

We really wanted to do Tahiti/bora bora but it was just wayy too expensive for what we were looking for. So we decided we needed to go somewhere warm, all inclusive, adults only and ultimately decided to go with Sandals Antigua.... I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!

I think we are set on St.Lucia for our extended honeymoon...but we want to do a short getaway right after we get married, and we are not sure where that will be. And even though right now we are set on St.Lucia, I'm sure we'll change our minds, again

I did learn this about Sandals resorts. Its $400 to reserve your room, but you can change what room or what resort you go to up to 43 days before your trip. Which I thought was helpful to the other indecisive brides like myself

We are going on a cruise out of Puerto Rico....

both of us definately wanted warm weather with white sand & blue water

we really wanted a cruise out of NY but the only one available was going to the Bahamas & we were there together last yr

The ones out of FL were only going to places we have been before & that is how we ended up leaving from Puerto Rico

Bora bora!!!!! At first we wanted to go somewhere not so crazy because we want to save for a house But we realized that we only live once and we want to enjoy ourselves as much as possible before a house and kids THEN we found out the my FBIL was willing to get our honeymoon flights for us. I also got an amazing rate through my job with the st Regis in bora bora and then it was really a no brainer!!

Cannot WAITTTT!!!

I wanted to go to the Amalfi Coast, but FH had some funny demands about the honeymoon. He wanted clear waters, a bar in the pool, and didn't want to fly more than 4 hours... so Mexico it is.

Ahhh I'm such a procrastinator with this.

I must have changed my mind about 5 times already. FH is letting me be in charge of this and has been ok with all of my ideas. I'm super grateful for that because if he was as picky as I am we would never end up booking!

But anyway, I am 99% sure we will be booking at Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico!

We were going to go to Hawaii, but then we decided to make life easier and go to Bermuda. We were there last year and we LOVED it, but didn't get to spend enough time there so we decided we will go there for the honeymoon for some hardcore relaxation!
