QOTD 9/13

QOTD 9/13

Sorry that I have been a horrible BOTW...work sucks.
I totally slept the day away and didn't want to...

Well here is the QOTD:
Are you inviting kids to your wedding? If so, are you doing anything to keep them entertained?
On the flip side, if your not inviting kids. Have any of your other guests questioned why? I can see this being an issue with the guest list.

The only kids who will be at the wedding are our FG and RB. If it wasn't that the FG was FH daughter thr would be no kids at all. So far everyone we've told understands. Those who don't doesn't phase me 1 bit lol

Only kids are FH (neices and they are part of our bridal party) and groomsman's daughters. No other kids are being invited. I think that it should be understood since it is a Saturday night wedding. Also, since this doesn't affect our families, friends should have no problem finding a babysitter.

The only kids we will be having is our RBs. Their mom is one of my BMs and I'm their 'unofficial' godmother becuase the official ones stink . Otherwise the only other 'kids' we have are going to be 16+ at the time of the wedding so I dont really consider them kids

Wow - I'm the only one inviting kids.

We're inviting my FH's half-sister (FG) as well as our close couple friends children (both age 2). Our FG will be there the entire reception as the groom is her big brother she looks up to. OUr friend's children were invited as to not make babysitters an issue for them - we're not sure if they will decide to bring them.

In addition, we are inviting 7 or 8 of my Cousin's young children from Florida. We've already been told the parents would probably leave them at home, as they range in age from 2 - 7 going on 8 at our wedding.

We stressed the family was most important to us, hence they are invited.

We will have lots of kids. Five in our wedding party lane plus lots of family and friends kids. I am thinking of doing children's bags with games and puzzles for them to play with when they get bored. Also, I will assign a couple of the moms t watch over them. Not sure if we will do kids tables or not.

We're having kids... I have 10 nieces and nephews and we're all very close...4 of them are in the bridal party. We're allowing people coming from out of state to bring theirs too. Sucks but unfortunately a lot of people probably wouldn't come if we didn't let them bring them.

I plan on having little gift bags with activities, crayons, candy etc. to occupy them

We're of course having my son at the wedding. Other than that the only kids we're inviting are my cousin's two sons, who are the same age as my son. The family is from California, but they're the only OOT's invited with their kids. People might say something, but my son wants his cousins there, and the way I see it, he's getting married too, he's allowed a guest list lol.

We're having kids too! Love the little ones! Most of the kids are family members, only a couple friends have children. I figured I'd let them decide if they want to bring them along or find a babysitter for the evening. The more the merrier!

Only my niece and nephew & fh step niece & nephew. Having mine under protest from mom & fh'S BC it's the right thing to do since mine are invited. I'm not don't anything special though. Not side what I would do since they vary in ages.

My fh wants his cousins kids there so we are inviting first cousins with kids. But that's it, I already know my cousins will not bring their kids..& My brother is having his inlaws pick up my nephew after our ceremony. Our wedding isn't really a children's event, it's a Friday night with unlimited alcohol and goes till 1am, not sure why any parents want to chase after their kids rather than enjoy themselves for a night, but that's just my .02$ lol

no kids at mine. i love them, but there are too many things to worry about when they are there. the youngest person at the wedding will be 19.

I originally didn't want kids (other than FG & RB) at the wedding but I'm warming up to the idea. And I don't really have much of a choice since one of my BMs is from Maryland I can't expect her to leave her 3 kids all weekend. Shouldn't be more than that though. I can't imagine anyone else wanting to bring their kids!!! I would think parents would like a break!!

The ring bearers are 6 and 8 and Gerard has one cousin who 7. After that my youngest cousin is 13. Plus FH sister will be 15 at the time of the wedding. Since most of our cousin are teenagers we decided to invite them.

Re: QOTD 9/13

We are only inviting the kids who are in the wedding party, and no I'm not doing anything to entertain them. We really want it to be an adult party but we did want to include some special family members' children in our wedding and thought the right thing to do was to invite them to the wedding. It seems pretty common now for no children to be invited so I think people will understand.

We are having about 10 kids at our wedding. Its our daughter and my little cousins. I couldnt imagine them not being there as we are all very close. I dont think I need to get anything for them since they all love to dance. I doubt any of them will be sitting at the table coloring lol

Re: QOTD 9/13

I really did not want kids at my wedding except for those in the wedding pary. However, my mother doesn't know how to tell my aunt that my cousin's kids can't come so I have to invite them (no offense but they do not listen they run around everywhere they go as if they are in the park and this is what I do not want at my wedding). Since I have to invite them I can't tell FH's cousin's that they can bring their kids (I'm not worried about their behavior because they have home training). So we will be having more kids than expected at the wedding. But their parents will be informed in advance that it is not park and they should not be running around. ( I don't mean to sound harsh but I do not want them running around and hurting themselves)
