we decided that we def do NOT want any of the cheesie dance songs played we just thought they were too sweet 16ish to be played at our wedding.
our list so far includes: the chicken dance electric slide cotten eyed joe macerena and a few more like that.

I have a bunch of songs I don't want to hear (any sort of group/line dance song such as the electric slide, etc.) but I know if they were played at my wedding I'd probably be having too much fun to care and I'd be electric slide-ing it up without a care in the world!

We generally are playing freestyle .. dance, it will be like listening to KTU and song Italian pop dance and slow songs ... we are also playing lots of Journey and some old school Bon Jovi .. probably not any rap or reggaeton (we like it, but the older poeple wont lol)
FH does not want to do the electric slide or the conga line but im on the fence ... its a good way for people who are shy to get up and dance and have fun too

My do not play list includes any sort of song that comes with an organized dance.
also nothing with really offensive lyrics (the songs might be generally fun, but an elegant wedding is no place for baby got back, you know?!?!?!)

I agree with all of the above and I have one to add - 'Celebration'. My FMIL is obsessed and wants us to play it at the wedding. My FH refuses thank God. We were talking about our band the other day and she asked 'are they going to play Celebration?' I just ignored....I'll blame it on the band and say they don't know it or something.
