Ok ladies this is my last questions as BOTW....so i figured i should ask the following question to reminiscent that beautiful day!!!!
How did FH propose?
I was taking a long weekend workshop with one of the best belly dance teachers!!! I was soo excited on the last day of the workshop FH picks me up and says we are going to the bronx zoo, a special place for FH and I!....When we got there I noticed that he seemed anxious and I was like what's wrong??? he's like I'm hungry and I'm like I am soo tired from the workshop and I'm hungry too, so we ate at one of the cafes within the zoo. All of a sudden he was like we are going to go to the butterfly garden last (the butterfly garden is one of the most meaningful things for FH and I because while we were having certain problems once we went to this place we became closer) I was so excited knowing that we were going to go to the butterfly garden. As we walk in there he kept telling me how much he loves if and if I remembered how special this place was for us! I was taking pictures of the beautiful butterflies. Then i feel someone pocking me from the back as i turned around i see my parents his parents my sisters and his brother and wife and nephew I started shaking clueless but then i see him going down on 1 knee as he's telling me that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me I cried my butt of and finally said yes!

We went into the city for my sister in laws 30th birthday party, we arrived at the hotel and i said i am taking a nap, he started talking to me about love and everything and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I respond with this isn't serious!! then he opened a ring box and knew this was very much serious!!!! I immediately said yes!!!!!!!!! I was great because that night we got to celebrate with a lot of our friends and family!!!
Oh yeah and it was on June 7, 2008, 7 years since we first met!

FH lied to me and told me we were going to NYC for a work party. I believed him because I knew the party he was talking about what actually a real event they hold at his job. So we got all dressed up and right before we left, a limo shows up at the house. Now I know something is up and i'm about to start freaking out. The limo driver comes to the door and hands fh a package from his boss (that he later told me he staged lol) saying thank you for a job well done and here's a limo ride to show his appreciation. So now i'm thinking, is he gonna propose or is this letter a real thing? I was so confused and so quiet driving into Manhattan. He said later that night that I was acting like I did on our first date lol.
When we got there, I found out we were staying at the London Hotel near Central Park. It was beautiful. We go up to the room which had a nice view of central park and there's a package sitting on the foot on the bed (kinda set up like a welcome package). I open it and it's my claddah ring that he had cleaned and reshaped for me and I was about to hit him for playing a trick on me. But next thing I know, he gets down on his knee and pulls out the e-ring from his pocket. He said soooo many sweet things to me and I was crying so much that I don't think I even said yes! (which we laugh about today). I just hugged and kissed him when he got up. Anyway, that night we rode around in the limo for a few hours, drinking champagne. It was so awesome. Then went out to dinner at Tao (we love that place) and a matinee show on Broadway the next day. So needless to say there was no work party lol. It was perfect.

after what was supposed to be a fun weekend away with my family (it turned out to be a disaster, my mother picked the worst place ever), he got down on his knee in my living room.

I was suppose to work at the Halloween store that night and decided not to go because my head was hurting. It was the day before Halloween and the store already had enough people to work that night. So I called FH to let him know that i wasn't going and if he wanted he could come over and hang out for a little bit.
When he came over he handed me pumpkin and he lifted the cover to the pumpkin. It was filled with orange and white M&M's that had printed on them 'Teri, Will you Marry Me????? and inside you could see the bow from the ring box sticking out

wellll.. i kinda knew it was going to happen.... i knew he had the ring just didnt know when ...FH told me he wanted to go to dinner to 1 of our fav places that night and i was so excited lol i figured maybe its the night!! lol.... later on that night we both were getting ready to go out... i had a sleep shirt on and my jeans and uggs.. lol i was doing my makeup (n then chaning my shirt lol no sleepshirt out to dinner lol) and Fh started banging on the bathroom door telling me to hurry uppp he needs to get in there... so i open the door n hes on his knees i started cracking up telling him to get up... n hes like nooo forreal im doing this forreal.. if i waited at dinner u would of expected it so its unexpected and shut up n listen lol... then he grabbed my hand n told me all this mushy stuff i was tearing and then hes like nothing would make me happier then u as my wife... so will you marry me... and i said yes of course lol....
not the way i wanted it to be i wanted it romantic but i was def caught off guard... i was so mad i wasnt even dressed yet lol..

Aww i love everyones stories!
Well, Fh and I didnt do anything special for valentines day this year since it was on a Thursday, just had take out and hung out. I told him I would cook him dinner on Saturday. So Saturday comes and Im going crazy trying to figure out what to make (hes a picky eater) I finally decide, start cooking and my mom gets a call (shes cooking dinner for my dad and her), and says shes going to eat over my sisters. Now Im like ***, my sis didnt even invite us. So FH calls a few mintues later and tells me hes running late (hes never late) Dinners ready and Im waiting for him. He seemed anxious but I didnt think anything was up. I cleaned up and everything and the he read me a beautoful letter about how much I mean to him. He got down on his knee and propsed! Everyone in my family and his family came over after!

ahhh the proposal.
to make a long story short (cuz I could go on forever..lol) , we were on Roosevelt Island and FH had gold m&m's made up that said 'Complete me' and 'Vanessa marry me.' After eating the first two without even realizing they were personalized, he tells me to read them as he went down on one knee. I couldn't process everything that was happening, so I kept telling him to shut up and asking him was it for real. My knees also were getting weak so I was going down on my knees with him and he kept telling me to stand up. We are a mess...lol.

He never really did. Yes, I did kick him in the shins for that one. It was 'let's get married in Epcot's Japan'......went from there. Wish I had a romantic story, but figure at least he finally asked. He was dead set against getting married again.

i'll keep this short and sweet! He proposed in Vegas when we were on a gondola ride at the Venetian hotel. he was so nervous!

Chris had replaced my usual ring with my engagement ring the night before. I was suppose to wake up in the morning and find it.
I decided not to go to school that day since I wasn't feeling well. At around 11AM, Chris asked me if I felt good enough to go to the store. So we went to the store. Strangely enough, I threw on sweat pants & a tee shirt & no jewelry (for the first time in 8 years). So off to the store we went. When we got back home I unpacked the groceries & joined Chris sitting on the couch. He said, “I have a surprise for you.” I said, “Why?” knowing our anniversary was 3 days away. So he told me to go look on my desk. I didn’t even notice it. Then I picked it up, put it on, and couldn’t believe it. Took it off for him to put on & then I said yes.

On labor day while we were on the Yankee stadium tour in monument park. I really don't know anything he said because as soon as I realized what he was about to do I was hysterical crying

We had a gone looking at rings a few times... but I didn't think anything of it, because I love looking at diamonds and dragged him in stores all the time.
I work Sun, Mond, Tues, and Thursday, and he called me SUPER early on a Friday while I was sleeping and was like 'you need to look outside!' I complained, and didn't want to... and then I hear something outside. I look out the window... and see him standing outside.
So, in my pajamas I open the front door to let him in... but he tells me to come outside, and I see one dozen roses and a stuffed monkey (I love monkeys!) He's telling me all this mushy stuff, but I can barely pay attention... then he brings out the ring and puts it on! I freaked out for like hours then called all my friends!

I had left work early one Friday to go to an event in the city with a couple of my friends. FH called and asked if he could stop by before i left just to see each other for alittle bit, i said sure.(this wasnt unsually, so i didnt think any thing of it) well he gets to my house, and is acting really strange, so i asked him what was wrong, and he was like nothing, im just cranky. okay! everyone has their days..lol. So then alittle while later hes like okay i am going to go now, can you walk me to my car, so i did. He gets to his car and he is like i bought you something, and it was a ring pop, and he goes will you marry me? And of course, i go ' YOu need something a little better then that' So he goes in his car, and says' HOw about now, will you marry me?' I was in complete shock, that all i could say was ' NO, NO, NO!.... YES!!' I was in complete shock. I had no idea it was coming! I think he wanted to wait till Saturday, and do something romantic, but FH is a ball full of nervous, and he couldnt wait anymore.
