FH never had mashed potatoes before in his whole life until last Thanksgiving and now he's obsessed. So the mashed potato bar is for him lol. We also added on a pasta course since that's pretty much all I eat (besides chicken fingers and french fries lol but I think people will look at me weird eating chicken fingers in a wedding dress)

Steak and mashed potatoes are my favorite meal so I am really excited for the Peter Lugers station at our cocktail hour. It will have prime rib, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach.

We are going to have a cupcake tower (instead of a wedding cake) with rainbow cookie cupcakes!
I'm also hopefully going to do a milk & cookies dessert bar in place of a groom's cake as a surprise for my fiancé. It sounds simple, but I expect him to be very excited!

Rainbow cookie cupcakes! Yum those cookies are my fav I never thought of making it into a cupcake! I'm most excited for my mashed potato bar and slider station!

Slider station sounds like a delicious idea!
We discovered rainbow cookie cupcakes at a bakery near us called Manhattan Sweets in Islip. They are by far the best dessert I've ever had! Jelly inside and everything!

How are you setting up the milk and cookies dessert bar? FH would absolutely LOVE something like that!!

I still have to discuss the options with my venue, but I have a few ideas thanks to Pinterest. So far my favorite is an Oreo tower. Literally a tower of stacked Oreo cookies
Other than that I want to do something simple like this:
I also want to offer some dessert cocktails with it such as White Russians, which have milk in them!

I agree with the other ladies about the mashed potato bar. I love sweet potatoes with all the toppings and FH is a huge mashed potato fan.
