ETA: Yes when I go I want them to take everything. I would rather my organs go to help someone.

Not on my license, but if something should happen my entire family knows of my wishes to donate my organs.
My Mom died of cancer and was only able to donate her corneas... She was able to help two people see better. Just wanted to share... It's so important.

My family knows I want to but I wont put in on my Lic
I saw a dateline or 20/20 a few years ago - where the family felt the hosptial didn't do all it could do b/c the persons Lic said they were an organ donor- so I have always been a little to freaked out to do it

My family knows of my wishes, but I do not want to put it on my license. I want them to take everything they can and creamate the rest.

Yes I am... I actually am registered on the NY organ donor registry which is a computerized database.... Just make sure that you let your loved ones know your decisions... for even if you check off that box, they may decided to keep you whole

No I'm not. And the scary thing is - even if you put yourself down as not being one like my Dad had done they still call about it. We had a woman call who asked if we would donate his brain and she turned out to be a fruitcake even after saying she was from the coroners office!! I was so glad that I had told my mom to say no!!! This was the day after my Dad had died and we had called the real coroner and told him and he was mad! He said that people do that all the time from like pshy centers and all that. Like my Dad dying wasn't enough we had to deal with that lunatic!!

no. in the jewish religion we don't even have autopsies(sp). the way its been explained to me, the way u come into the world is the way u should leave the world. where there's nothing cut open
