Are you talking about when you first meet him? Or after you have been dating for a while.
With DH (wow, I don't have to type FH anymore!!) I told him how I felt about him about 5 months into it. He had the typical guy reaction, awww, that's so sweet. Then the next time we saw eachother, he told me he felt the same way.
In other relationships, whenever I did this - it became the beginning of the end. The Godfather's kiss of death had nothing on me!!

I think my FH told me he loved me after 2 weeks (4 years ago!). One of my friends at work moved in with her now husband after 2 weeks, and they married a year later. When you feel that connection, I think you don't worry so much about it all ending--you know it is too deep!

I got rejected He was my high school sweetheart and he went away to college and I satyed here and never spoke to him saw him once when he came down but I laid it on the line to him. He was / my first love.

Thinking about both my significant relationships one being fh - we have been so close it really was never really a question.
The key is how did we get that close - by taking things very slow and keeping everything really light for a while. I built friendships (with benefits) with both before it became emotional.

this may be my only post today.. and all I can say is..
exactly what the diamond said.. always go mysterious. It's a macho thing. guys like a challenge too.. if a girl tells us that she likes her first.. believe it or not, even nice guys are capable of this.. they think they have the girl in their back-pocket and that just should not ever happen. Being takrn for granted is an awful potential result.. so always try to be 1000% sure if you go that way. JMHO
