QOTD August 24, 2011!

I've been thinking a lot about furniture lately - does your furniture style mesh with his? Or is he (or would he like to be) baching it up with black leather and chrome, and you are all about the Laura Ashley florals? if the latter, how are you making it work?

For us, our styles work pretty well. We basically both wish we could live inside a Crate and Barrel catalogue. For instance, he has a coffee table and I own the matching hallway table from that set. Once we pool our stuff I can see our furniture etc blending together well.

our styles match pretty well. We we lucky in that when we first moved in together neither one of us really had any furniture so we got to buy stuff we both liked!

This plus i'd go so far as saying his style might be even better then mine.

Our styles usually mesh. Sometimes I will describe something and he is skeptical but when he sees it he loves it.

With furniture though....I'm definitely more opulent than he is. He likes modern and I like traditional. If I had my way, my whole freakin house would be marble, granite and onyx.

Usually we meet in the middle....comfortable simple furniture with more embellished decor.
