I worked at Sam Goody while in HS. I can honestly say I don't ever want to work in a store ever again.

What was the WORST, and I mean the absolute WORST job you've ever had? (This includes teenage summer jobs too)

When I was 13, I worked in a bagel shop for about a year. (off the books, of course.)

Because I was the young'n, they made me do the WORST things - like this one time, there was a weird smell coming from one of the refrigerator cases. It turns out that the WHITEFISH SALAD (ew ew ew ew ew) had a crack in the container and has dripped allllll of the liquid out of the container and onto the shelves. THe case was ground level, and the owner made me crawl INTO the case (so I could reach the back) and scrub/scrape the decaying whitefish off the shelves. I absolutely HATE the smell of fish, and I had to get up to vomit TWICE. The bleach solution I was cleaning with was so strong that it burned a hole in my rubber gloves. My hands were burned, I was soooo sick, but I didn't quit, 'cause that $50 a week was really adding up!!!

Some people really get whats comin to them though - the owner was arrested and jailed several years later for beating his children.

worst- I worked sunday mornings at a real estate office as a receptionist. I hated it!! I was left all by myself, no internet, just phones off the hook about open houses and stuff. And the agents were not so nice!! Needless to say, only worked there for a month. I'm too hyper for that

I waitressed at a country club one summer. We didn't get tips, we got an hourly salary and many of the members weren't very nice. They couldn't believe that I was in college and had planned a 'real life.'

Cashier at Grand Union supermarket. The managers treated us like crap, and so did alot of the customers.

Cashier at Walbaums. People are so rude when food shopping. The manager was very mean too.

I worked for about a year for an environmental construction firm - a pretty big one, and I was the general manager (completely blind as to what the firm did). My boss would yell at me and tell me to curse out the suppliers 'cause 'that's how you do it in this industry'. I have no problem cursing - but not at work! It was so unprofessional - I hated it - and the stress was unbearable. Not surprisingly, the firm folded a few years ago...But I did meet FI there...

I was a telemarketer in high school. I am embarassed to admit that I sold carpet cleaner

The worst job I ever had was doing telemarketing. It was so bad that when they told us to take a break, I told them that I wasn't coming back! I lasted all of 3 hours.

I worked at a bagel shop when i was 15. i hated when i had to work on sundays. the old women were so nasty.

worst job ever was at Twin Donut when I was 15 - the place was disgusting and I had to be there at 5:30AM!

I just had it... I decided to take a part-time telemarketing job for some extra money.. I lasted three days! And in those three days, I got hung up on enough to last a lifetime! I hated it so much...

Worked in a bagel store. It was torture during the summer. (90 something degrees with a huge oven behind your head) And having to listen ppl tell you they are going to the beach!
