QOTD: Do u say, 'its me' when calling someone?

I kno that its alot easier in this day and age with caller id to not hafta state who u r when calling someone..but how soon is to soon to say hey its me,...when u call someone, this goes for a guy ur dating, or even just friends and acquaintances that you may call..personally unless its a really really good friend who i talk to all the time, i naturally assume they wont know who i m by a simple hello and i always say hey whats up its michelle..or something to that regard..

as far as a guy im dating,i always wait for him to use the 'hey its me' or i wouldnt even go there...i dont like to assume he will know who it is..what if he says ugh is this sara and im like umm no, its michelle..then we both just feel dumb :)

depends on who it is....my sister sounds exactly like me, so I can't call my parents and say that, but when I call my best friend or DH, I say it's me or they recognize the #

Ok...funny story. I have a twin sister...we sound exactly alike on the phone. When I was 15 (before I was driving), my mom was supposed to pick me and a friend up at work (at 9:30pm. My sister was out with a friend and my mom was supposed to pick them up when she called. So, my sister calls around 8:30 for my mom to come pick her up. My mom says 'so soon'. My sis just says...yes, we're done. So....my mom comes to pick me up at work (in her housecoat ). Of course...I don't come outside...so after 20 minutes of my mom waiting in the parking lot, she comes into the Sunvet Mall (I was working there) in her housecoat...into the store and asks me why I called her if I wasn't ready to come home. I said, 'Mom...I didn't call you'. She was like oh [email protected] have been your sister. So now, it's like 9:15 so she waits for me to be done...and then we go pick up my sister. By the time we get there, it's like 10 pm....my sister was like what took so long. My mother was just laughing.

From then on....we say who it is when we call my mother....

I usually only say it's me to DH and my sister. Since my mom, sister and I sound exactly alike on the phone, everyone gets us mixed up. I always say 'Hi it's Vicki' when I call my parents or DH's parents.

i absolutely HATE when people do this...this is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves...
i NEVER do this...not even with my family or my fh...

Danielle and her sister sound exactly the same on the phone. When I call my parents, my best friend Neal or Danielle I say its me....but other than that I would say its Scott. Most of the times they know anyway...Due to them having Caller ID lol
