What was the one thing you had to cut from your wedding wishes due to price?

DJ instead of Band
Not my dream choice of wedding halls, don't get me wrong I love the Swan Club, but it wasn't my 'dream' choice.

I have to say we never had a budget. I just wish we had more time. That I would have changed. I would have changed the time of everything. We booked our hall late, so they had no Saturday May evenings left, I wish that. Then we would have had more time in between for pictures and relaxing....no rushing....oh well!

Ooh, if we had more money, my wedding would be held in a loft in NYC. Well, if FH and I had more money and paid for it ourselves. I don't know if my parents were ever too keen on it to begin with, I think they're secretly happy that it's out of their price range! Other than that I'm really happy with everything we have, we wanted a DJ, my dress was very reasonable, we got a great photographer and florist. All in all I'm really happy with all of the decisions we've made. And for our ___ anniversary (fill in the blank according to when we can afford it) we'll do a vow renewal at our idea of the perfect place and I'll wear my dress again, because I'll still fit into it and look fabulous!

The only thing we are sacrificing right now is a home. We decided to wait until after the wedding to buy a house. This is the only thing we gave up. everything is the way we wanted it. If I had a bigger budget, I guess I would have someone plan and coordinate the whole thing. Just approve or disapprove of things would be my function.

While we aren't really sticking to any kind of budget, we are paying for most things ourselves and are 'trying' not to go overboard. So if we had an endless budget I think I would really like a string quartet for the ceremony.

I AGREE. We hired a solo violinist. but, would have preferred a string quartet
