~*~*QOTD Friday 12/24*~*~

Merry Christmas Eve ladies!! Sorry this is so late - I've been running around doing some last minute things this morning!

In keeping with my Holiday theme, I figured I'd ask a question about traditions. If you're Italian you know that tonight is your Christmas and Christmas Day is, well, just not as big and fun as Christmas Eve. Which leads me to my question of the day...

Which Holiday tradition is your favorite and why? And are you going to continue the tradition with your family with FH?

As an adult, I've been attending Midnight Mas.. I hope to continue the tradition minus a few years when we have a little one.

New pajamas for Christmas Eve and new ornaments every year will begin next year!

When we have our new place, I had to have Christmas morning breakfast like my parent's always had

I come from a divorced family so it's always been Christmas Eve with mom's side and Christmas Day with dad's side (Christmas Eve is sooo much better!) For Christmas Eve my mom would always buy me and my brothers new pajamas - this year she bought them for FH too

Since we have our own place this year we had to figure out a new schedule that will still keep everyone happy soo from now on it will be Chrismas Eve with my mom, Christmas Day we open gifts - go to church - go to my dad's for a little bit and then go to FIL's. I won't see my mom at all on Christmas Day so we are going to exchange gifts tonight after the family leaves.

It's a little different than what we're used to but it will become a new tradition

Midnight mass is something i have always done since i was a kid.

FH and I have started putting up our christmas tree on thanksgiving night which is our own little tradition. I have always had a real tree but with my cats not the best option so the fake tree works. Plus, my fiancee never had a tree since he is jewish so he loves putting it up and i buy him a new ornament. Fh has since choose not to celebrate hanakuh since his parents moved to florida but still celebrates other jewish holidays.

We also usually at my parents house open gifts on xmas eve. But when we have kiddies it wont be done till xmas morning.

We buy a new family christmas ornament every year to show how are family will grow and change throughout the years

we also buy one for our son every year and when he gets a littleolder we will let him pick his own, this we will countinue throughout the years also

christmas is kind of mellow for both our families...my families big holiday is St patricks day!

I;m Jewish, he's Catholic so the winter holidays will be special. I've agreed to a tree next year and e are going to use items we have from trips together (Disney keychains) and other memorabilia as well as ornaments we buy or my daughter makes.

This is very small, but since FH and I have been together, every year we get a tree, decorate it using new ornaments + the ones we've had since our first year together. Although it seems so simple, it's something I want to continue doing in the future when we're blessed to have kids
