QOTD Friday 12/25/09 Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Ladies!

I know everyone is expecting a question related to Christmas. So I won't disappoint but since we've already covered what our traditions are and such I'm going to ask you:

What don't you like about the holidays?

and

Are there any traditions you would like to get rid of after you're married?

I don't like the traveling.

I stay on LI

But I get up at 5am to open gifts with my family.

Than to Huntington for breakfast. (My relative)
Than to Islip for lunch (FH's relative)
Than St. James for dinner (My relative)
Than Massapequa for dessert. (FH's relative)

I'm criss-crossing and all over the island tomorrow. Not looking forward to that. I'm hoping after we are married we can someone consolidate or something. We will figure something out.

I don't like having to figure out whose family we are going to eat dinner with and whose family we are going to for desert. This was the first year we split the holidays like that and it was really hard for us to decide. It literally toke 3 days of talking about it to finally come to an agreement. For us, we were just trying to make everyone happy but I guess that is impossible really.

When we are married I would like to mesh our families a little bit more. We both have relatively small families and it would be nice to just bring them together. It would be easier for us and it would be nice to have both our families together.

I don't like how my daily routine gets out of wack!

I would like both families to come together for christmas eve. I would love to have it at my own house one day.

I couldn't have said this any better. This was really hard for us also. I felt like I had to keep looking at my watch and that I couldn't really get comfortable because before I knew it we had to leave.

Today we are starting at his house and then at 5ish going out to Happague for my side of the family. AKA round 2.

I guess I don't like the stress of trying to find that perfect gift - I hate giving things to people and they don't really need it.

Can't say I would get rid of any traditions - I kinda figure I don't need to see FH on Christmas Day, we have our whole lives to spend Christmas together but he is ALL about it - we call him Buddy the Elf. We split the majority of the day then one goes to the other's later on. We try to flip flop - so it works out!

OHH i just thought - one other thing I dislike about the holidays - all the idiot people who come out to go shopping and don't know how to drive LOL

Merry Christmas

The only thing I hate about the holiday is the wrapping

We go to both families on Christmas...mine for opening presents then his is the afternoon.

They both live close so it's not bad at all

Have a great day ladies
