*** QOTD Friday, 3/9/12 ***

Happy Friday!

This is a fun question--

Let's make bouquet toss predictions! (even if you are not including this tradition into your wedding, just pretend that you are! )
Who do you hope will catch the bouquet out of the single girls attending your wedding?
Have you ever caught the bouquet yourself?

--------------------------

Out of the girls that will be attending my wedding, I'm going to hope that my friend from work catches the bouquet. I'm prettyyy sure she will be the next to get engaged, so I will be aiming for her!

I caught the bouquet at my Uncle's wedding when I was 11 and I was so excited, but then I realized what will happen if a MAN catches the garter and I started hysterically crying!

Obviously none of the adult men wanted to catch the garter, so it wound up falling in front of my little cousin, who was about 6 at the time! He tried to put it on my leg and I said 'Ohh no!' and he instead, slid it up my arm!
The pictures are so funny. There's me red faced from crying & my other little cousin who was the flower girl sitting on a chair in the middle of the dance floor and my cousin who caught the garter on his knee in front of us.
Yes, I'm a bit dramatic!

I recently caught the bouquet at my fiancé's best friend's wedding.... I was PSYCHED for it and it came flying right at me!
The only thing was that it was kinda awkward because they didn't do a garter toss.... so I was like oh? ok.... now what do I do? hahaha

I caught it at my brothers wedding

I don't know who I would want to catch it.

I'd probably want my MOH's SIL (I'm friends with her entire in-law family) to catch it. She's been with her bf like 6 years - it's time to s*it or get off the pot already! It's not like they are super young - she's 25 (I think) and he's 28! Maybe her catching it will light a fire under him (not that I particularly like him - but he needs to grow up and just propose already)

Your story is hilarious! Im secretly hoping my maid of honor Katie gets the bouquet. I really want her to find the man of her dreams because she deserves it

I'm not doing it, but if I were I guess I would want my cousin or one of my BFFs to catch it. I'm gonna probably go through withdrawals after the wedding and want to start helping someone else plan!

I have not caught the bouquet because I've always tried not to. LOL i find it really embarrassing and I'm not easy to embarrass either.

I hope my sister catches it. She will only be 21 at the time and I dont want her to rush to get married but i feel like she would be the most excited to have it. We are not doing the garter toss. FH was like im not putting my hand up your dress in front of the whole family.

Side story: In 2006, we went to a wedding and I caught the bouquet and FH caught the garter. Things were going that well with us in our relationship and that night I ended up breaking up with him!!!! We were separated for like 2-3 months (well kinda separated) and then we got back together (obviously haha). And now (7 years later) we are getting married! Then in 2008, my cousins wife didnt throw her bouquet at the wedding and I said to her 'you didnt throw your bouquet.' She said 'Here. Your gonna be the next one in the family to get married' And she was right!

I have caught the bouquet when I was a BM in my good friend Kelly's wedding. FH did NOT catch the garter so it was so embarrassing!!! If they aren't engaged by next year I would love for my MOH to catch it... Or for my good friend Tara who is dating one of my FH's best friends. Either one would be fun

I would like for my sister or my cousin to catch the bouquet. I really want my sister ti catch it because she's only 1 1/2 younger than me and she has been through a horrible relationship. She still has not completely cut all ties with the guy. I just want her to find true love. To be with someone that will love her back and give her the utmost respect that she deserves.

I have never caught the bouquet at a wedding. I really tried hard to.

That's hilarious. I think it's great that there's still pictures of it. Good memories to laugh over.

I'm afraid we are going to have a war. My FH's sister will want it - as she's been with her boyfriend for 5 years, they are livign together now and she's already got their wedding mapped out.

On the other hand, the girlfriend of FH's groomsman will undoubtly try to snag it. When we got engaged, she found out and began pressuring the groomsman even harder ' So.. where' smy ring? I'd really like this kind of ring' and its been going on for over a year.

I want FH's sister to get it.

I caught it at my best friends wedding when I was a bridesmaid. It was awkward because the flower girl in front of me wanted it so bad, I didn't really want it because of the stupid rituals.. but then it was definately going over the flowergirl to the floor... then some people told me I should have let it hit floor and the flowergirl grab it.

I offered it to her, and she then didn't want it because she didn't catch it.

ugh.

hahah 6 of my BM's are in relationships where I'd be stoked if ANY of them got engaged next!!!!! It better be one of my girls though (If they don't get some bling before then)

I caught (fought over) 5 bouquets!! 1.5 months after lucky number 5, I got my ring!

Haha wow 5!

Now do you think engaged girls shouldn't try for the bouquet? Although we're engaged... we aren't MARRIED, so I say anyone not married should go for it!
