...QOTD FRIDAY!!!...

WOHOO!! its friday ladiies!!! we made it to the weekend well after the work day today we will have!!

so this isn't specially a wedding related question but i've been having this issue so i wanted to see what you ladies take on it would be!

so here is Friday's question of the day:

All your best friends (MOH's & BM's) want to do a big all inclusive vacation to a tropical island for a week...just a girls trip...its at least 1,000 and more of a single girl kinda thing so what do you do??

my answer:

hah ! my first instinct is to say yah id love to get away with my best friends...but realistically im not in that place anymore where i can just pick and go and do that...and my FH would never just go on a trip with the guys like that at least now that were getting closer to the wedding! its hard when ur friends arent in the same place as you and seeing them go id be sad and i do think its perfectly fine and healthy to have like a girls trip or weekend ...but i wouldn't want to leave my FH like that either bc my friends are in a diff mindset right now...i keep telling myself my focus is on saving for the wedding and if i was going to go on a trip it'd be with him like i feel like its like ok bye u work over time n save n ill go spend money we should be saving lol!

Although it sounds like so much fun, I wouldn't do it. I am in no place financially to just be able to pick up and leave like that, plus I wouldn't want my FH to do that to me. I would, however, do a weekend trip to montauk or AC or something along those lines. A big, tropical week-long trip just isn't my thing without FH. Let all of the single ladies let loose, have fun and meet men.. My man put a ring on it!!

I would love to go but it's definetly not in my budget. Maybe if I wasn't paying for my wedding I would say yes, but honestly, I don't know if I would wanna go away for a whole week with out FH. Maybe a weekend.

This actually happened to me where a friend was using her sister's time share to cancun and planned an all girl getaway.

I was tempted but ultimately declined. I felt like an old stick in the mud but I knew FH wasn't LOVING the idea of me going away hanging out in my bikini without him for 5 days. I really love that he doesn't push a decision on me though.

I've also been to cancun for spring break before...craziness lol!

Very early in our relationship, I did go away to florida for spring break and didn't feel bad about it since I didn't feel 'serious' with him. Now I wouldn't feel right.

This is strictly for out of the country travel! I do still go visit friends in DC/Boston by myself!

i wouldn't go.
i don't have $1K to blow on a vacation with the girls when i am saving for my wedding.
i would rather take that $1K and put it towards the amazing HM FH and I will have.
and FH would never do this to me, so i wouldn't do this to him.

I'd go if I had the money. But they'd have to understand that I'd be calling FH during the trip. Granted, most of my BM's are in relationships and probably would do the same thing!

I would do it. My friends and I just went to vegas for my friend's b-party for the weekend and it was a great time to just hang with the girls by the pool. We're a good mix of friends of single, in a relationship and married but we still all have stuff in common. They were already discussing a get away from my b-party and I mentioned an all inclusive vacation and everybody was down for it!

Also, i blew over $1k at vegas so to blow 1k for a beach type vacation - say all inclusive - is way worth it for me

I would definitely go. FH goes away on boys weekends all the time, and its not like I can't stand to be away from him, I definitely can I would totally go, lay on the beach and hang with my girls, as long as I had the $! If it was right now I prob couldn't bc I just started a new job, but I'd find the $ somewhere if I had to

I would def go also.... Even though i just skipped on a friends trip to Miami, but that's becuase im already going to miami in a few month. If you had the extra money then do it.

Personally FH and I live together and spend every day together, i love getting together with the girls and catching up... and a weekend get way to the beach to the Caribbean, i would not pass on. I think down the line when kids come in the picture and it wont be as easy to do girls weekends, so i rather take all the advantage i can. I dont mind FH going on a guys trip either, i want us to enjoy everything and all diff experiences. But thats us, so do what is right for you guys!

A week is a bit of a stretch. Maybe a weekend away at an all inclusive. FH is going to Vegas, I know this for sure, so maybe I need to start dropping hints to my girls.
