For the married ladies: Looking back, of all of the “extras” you did for your wedding, what is the one thing that you would add or take away? For those that have not had their big day yet, what is the one thing that you wish you could add now?

i think my OOT bags were a waste of money. sure it was nice. but i think everyone would have been fine without one. lol
also, i would have planned the times for the shuttle with more help. i didnt realize buses couldnt go on some highways. and the shuttle company failed to walk me through the timing, so the whole BUS of ppl were SUPER LATE for CH
thankfully our awesome DOC (highly recommend ryan from above and beyond events) asked teh RH to extend cocktail hour at least another 10-15 minutes so the guests could SEE it.... i didnt even know this happened until later in the evening

I am getting married Sunday, Right now the only thing I wish we had, but don't is transportation. I don't want anyone in the BP/Family to drink and drive and I wish that I had not let everyone talk me out of not getting some sort of transpo for us all. I mean we really don't need it, everything is in one place. But after the reception we have an after party and then FH and I need to get to the hotel. These are the times I wish we had transpo for.

I really wanted to hire a DOC for so many reasons but it just didn't fit in my budget it just really seems like they make a world of difference! WOW, I can't believe the shuttle company was so lax! and that some of your guests almost missed CH! I am glad that your DOC was able to extend CH!

only thing I really wanted that we dont have is a band. I kind of wanted the live music feel but geting a greek band, italian live singers and catering to our american friends was costing WAY TOO Much money.........we opted for a DJ instead.

These are not HUGE extras...but i could have gone without them!
1) The matches..I only ordered 100 and I had like 80 left over. booooo!
2) OOT bags - I put a lot of $$ and time into making them and laquinta didn't hand out all of them to my guests. Also, the guests who got them didn't comment on them. boo.
3) Photosharing cards. Every guest got 1...no one used them.

Can't really think of anything I would take away because I spent a lot of time on the details that were important to me. However, I would have added another 30 minutes to an hour to our reception time if I could have.

I would've added a videographer for the ceremony only. They bother me at the reception though.

The OOT bags did take me a lot of time and $...I hope that they all go! I also ordered matches (100) and wondered if they would even be used!

Photobooth for me..to be added..I would also like to add christmas carolers out side of RH to greet guests..maybe dress up the church more..
I'm not sure on what I would take away. I feel like I am already not doing enough!!!!

I would not have done my guestbook. $50 and like 3 people signed it. I also woulnd't have done petal cones because no one tossed the petals at us on the way out The only thing I would have added is an extra hour to the party because the day went by too fast.

I would have loved to have added time to the reception but I didn't want to pay the band and photo/videographer.
Photobooth sounds like fun, but my mom was dead set against it, said it's tacky....and too much money.
