Happy Friday!!!! We are all 1 more week closer to our weddings

So here it is .....

What is your secret for a happy marriage? What is the one thing you will do to ensure things stay as good as they are now?

My secret to a happy marriage is to keep on dating. Chris and I love going out and that WILL NOT stop once we are married. I love getting dressed up for him and walking out of the bedroom to see his face when he goes 'wow,
you look so hot!' I live for that. I never want to be the couple that goes to work and then spends the rest of the time on the couch. Once in a while,
yes, but we need to go out. I just love sneaking kisses when no one is looking and dancing like we are strangers dancing together for the first time.

So lets have it girls .... What are your little secrets??? Have a great day!!!

I agree with the continued dating. One of my secrets is to do a lot together but you still also have to have a few moments where you each do things yourself. he has his trip to the mall or a tv show he likes and I have my ealry saturday morning tennis league then the rest of the time it's us

I think alone time is very important. In fact aside from dating that would be the next think on my list. Chris and I work a lot so even though we live together we don't see eachother all the time but sometimes we just need our space.

Good call!!

PS. I love tennis, I've been playing for 13 years

Well, two things. One is def doing date nights and getting all dolled up. And the other- sex. I know people say when you get married, it winds down. Let's see.

MY Future In Laws are the cutest couple you have ever seen! after over 30 years of marriage, they still hold hands in the car, say sweet things to each other and they always make time to do things together. they are ADORABLE!
that's what i want my relationship to be like with FH. After 30 years of marriage i still want to hold his hand.....

Definately talking about our feelings and not letting things build up until they get so bad that there is no turning back.

Also keeping a realistic view of how relationships change over time is also important. Me and FH both now that when we get married, have kids, grow older, things may change, the wine, candle light, and roses may wind down a bit, but we understand that its ok. It happens, its not time to panic. Its not always going to be as it was in the beginning. I've known women who have really freaked out when this has happened in their marriages.

That is a great outlook!!!! I think more women should be as realistic. Good for you and FH for discussing this now.

I agree with the date nights and quality time alone.
But most important is the sex life. I think it's so cute when you see an older couple who have been married for so many years still have that chemistry. That's what I want, keeping the sex and the chemistry hot and new!!!! Never boring, even after kids.

i agree that date nights are important, but we also love our in nights... having a great dinner, and watching a movie snuggled on the couch.

but i think that the number one thing is to keep communicating. we never go to bed angry, and always talk things out. we also email each other every day, and talk on the phone at least once even though we live together now.
