QOTD Friday May 21

TGIF!!! Only 11 teaching days left for me.....So excited.....

Heres the question of the day.....Yesterday me and my fh went to dinner and were talking I asked him if he we could write our own vows and he adimently said NO and wouldn't even think about it!!!!

....Who is saying their own vows??? If not what is the reason??

For me obviously No bc my fh wont even give it a seconds thought but also I dont know if im going to make it through my vows, i can see myself hysterically crying up there at the alter.

I would love to, but FH is very shy and also doesn't want to write his own vows and then read them to me in front of all those people.

yeah that'll be a big fat no. Fh isn't the uber romantic type, especially when there is a crowd, so we'll just be doing traditional vows. Plus there's something time-less and classic about the traditional vows.

I really want to write them, and so far FH is on board with the idea, so I'd say yes we are writing our own. Besides, over the years he has given me some great material, so it would be a shame not to use it.

Ironically, ths is one of the first tings me and the FH talked about. We are definetly NOT writing and/or saying our own vows. Mostly because the FH is a man of few words most of the time and on top of that is pretty shy as well. And to be honest....the thought of doing it makes me a little nervous too haha I think it will be one tradition we stick with....traditional vows haha

We're going to write our own! I'm a little nervous because I'll probably start crying but I think it makes the ceremony so personal. I can't wait!

I love the idea of writing our own vows, but FH and I plan on reciting the traditional set of vows. I think there is something special to be said about the words that so many loved ones (like our parents) have said before. It's so special!

12 teaching days for me!!!!!!!!

We are not saying out own vows bc I think i will get too nervous up on the alter and don't want to forget what i'm saying or mess up. I would much rather do a 'repeat after me'

We're writiing our own. FH really wanted to which is kinda funny cuz he's not very original he usually writes the same thing on every card he gives me lol. I have already started drafting mine everytime i think of something I write it in a little notebook that I have.

I am definitely writing my own! I will probably have to help FH with his because he gets stuck but I just love the idea of personal vows.

I have started a few times and I always start tearing up lol

We are not, mostly because of me. I am not the most eloquent speaker in the world, and I hate being all mushy in front of people, so I want just the traditional ones that I can repeat after someone tells me to.
