You can send me an FM to let me know if I should choose you!!!!!!!! Now on to the QOTD................. If you could go back to the past..... what day would that be ??????? . . I was 8 years old and I never got to say goodbye to her... and to this day so many years later it still hurts me inside when I think about it ... I remember crying so much and not understanding since I was so young........ so yes that is the one day I would like to go back too............

Re: QOTD- Happy Saturday Ladies !!!!!!!!!!!
In advance sorry this is so long!!!!
I would go back to May 11, 2001. I only have one regret in my life it and it is from this day!! My step dad (who raised me) was very sick he had swelling on his brain. This swelling caused him to regress in age until he was mentally like a 5 year old. He knew whoe we all were though. We were leaving him at Stony Brook hospital in the ER and I was walking away he asked me to get him some frozen yoguart. When I told him I couldn't he asked why and started to cry. a lone tear ran down his face. . This was the only time in my life I saw him cry!! i told him he had to have test run and couldn't eat. I then kissed him goodnight and left. That was the last time I was able to talk to him. He slipped into a coma and died four days later.
I look back and say what would the frozen yoguart done. He was dying anyway. I should have just gotten it for him. My only hope is that his brain was so far gone that with in minutes he had forgotten about the whole thing.
edited for typo

Re: QOTD- Happy Saturday Ladies !!!!!!!!!!!
I would go back to December 8, 2000 the day my dad died. My dad was very sick, he has cancer and he had also had a stroke. He was too sick to care for himself my parents were divoced so my uncle hid brother had to decide who would take care of him and he put him in a hospital on roosevelt island he was in there for almost 2 years. I tried to visit him as much as possible but it was just so hard and never enough. I would go back to the day so that I could say goodbye to my father. I am sure he would have wanted family there on his last day. I was still in high school at this time so it was hard for me to visit him on my own or funeral plan. I would have been there on that day to also plan the funeral, my uncle decided on the funeral arrangements which I were completely against...he didn't even bother to ask me what my wishes were. I can't stand my uncle now. I think about this all the time and it is my regret. I know my father is always with me now and I think about him everyday.

I would go back to Oct. 27 2005... My Father passed away early that next morning. If I had known on the 27th that was the last time I would see him walking, talking, and just being Dad, OMG, I would have done sooo much with him. He wasn't feeling well that day, the kemo was kicking the crap out of him... leukemia came to strick again..I just didn't know what to say to him. I kept saying he would get through it and he'll be looking back at this as a true solider.... If only I had known...

I'd go back to one of the many trips my sis and I took with my dad to Vegas. My dad passed away this year and some of the best memories I have of him are walking the vegas strip, or seeing a good show or just getting late night steak and eggs at the rio hotel. They were the times of my life and how I remember daddy the best. I would go back to any of those days and just cherish every second I could with my dad.

Re: QOTD- Happy Saturday Ladies !!!!!!!!!!!
Ladies, this post has totally made me cry. I'm so sorry for all of your losses.
If I could go back in time, I would go back to the summer of 2005--August 12th to be precise. It was when I went to visit my grandmother in Greece and I would spend a lot more time with her than I did back then. I left her only after a few days and she was SO upset and begged me to stay, but I was dead set on going 'island hopping' with my friends and thought she was being annoying. I will never forget as I pulled away from her house, she was standing at the doorway, hysterical crying--that was the last time I ever saw her.
For a happier occasion, I would go back to the day that FH and I got engaged. I always wish that I could replay that day over and over again!!!!!

I think I would just like to go back in general and do it all over again! (well maybe skip the highschool part). I would go live in my old house and play with my old childhood friends again. The fall always makes me miss my child hood, always had so much fun! It reminds me of my best friend too, we knew eachother since the day she was born and spent almost every day of our childhood together.. she passed away 2 years ago and i miss her. I would love to just go back to when we were young and things were fun and easy.

Re: QOTD- Happy Saturday Ladies !!!!!!!!!!!
i don't know how to answer this question
as far as regrets, there was a fight between my mom and dad once that i was dragged into as a little girl. they forced me to make a choice of sorts. i always feel pangs of guilt about how i reacted.
my first instinct was to think of a magical day worth reliving. there are too many to choose just one.

Re: QOTD- Happy Saturday Ladies !!!!!!!!!!!
I would go back to the time my grandmother was in the hospital (may of 1998).. The first thing I would have done is have her be moved to a better hospital.. I am convinced to this day their negligence led to my grandmothers death..
The second thing I would have done is made more of an effort to spend time with my grandmother.. My mom and my grandmother were the two people that raised me growing up and I spent all of my time with them.. When I entered my teen years, I did the 'typical teen thing' and blew off my family.. If I knew my time was so limited with my grandmother I would have spent as much time with her as possible..

Re: QOTD- Happy Saturday Ladies !!!!!!!!!!!
This is a great question...
Im so sorry to hear about all of your stories and Im sitting here in tears as I do so...
For me, I do not think that I have a specific day. I would rather go back to college and just live it again... i would not want to change anything except 1. To begin to describe that would be a task that would take way too long. So I will stop here...
