QOTD- have you had, or would you consider having plastic surgery?

Original post by JessicaM.

I thought I never would, but as the years go by, I think I am changing my mind. Especially since somehow I lost my boobs. I know it sounds silly, but I used to be a borderline D cup, now I am a full b. I guess if i'd never had them, I wouldn't miss them, but I do.

I just wish they could make implants out of the fat from some other place on my body...I'd get lipo and but it to good use!

what about you ladies...?

I would never have plastic surgery to just 'fix' problem areas.

why the quotes on 'Fix'- do you think it doesn't work? I am curious.

I don't think I would-unless I lost weight and needed a tummy tuck or something....

I actually had a reduction in June and it was the BEST decision I've ever made!!! Actually being able to wear a tube-top/strapless dress without a 16 clasp strapless bra is the BEST feeling EVER!!!

I would like to fix my teeth, not that their bad, just would like to touch them up a bit and have a perfect smile... maybe get a nose job only because I have one of those bumps on my nose (kinda like Jessica Simpson's nose)....

I have thought about this many times, but like someone said, I don't think I would ever actually go through with major surgery...

OH yes I would. In a heart beat. After having 4 kids. I need it in the worst way. I was just talking to FH this morning that I would like to have it done after the new year. May-be he'll surprise me....

why do the breasts shrink so much when you lose weight? when i was younger, i used to hate how big my boobs were and now i have the exact opposite problem... not only do they shrink but they are not perky b/c they have the extra skin from when they were bigger.... anyone find a solution to this w/o going under the knife?

i noticed that when i use birth control pills they go back to their larger size... but everything else like the thighs grow too, and i have worked so hard to take the wieght off.
any advice?

I recently lost a lot of weight and my boobs have certainly got the short end of the stick! I would love to get a bob job but then I would have such a problem with others saying they are not real.... I think I will just continue to use padded push up bras courtesy of Victora's secret!

I got them in every color girl

Because there is a lot of fat in there that stretches the skin and when you take fat out from an area, it is very hard for the skin to bounce back. As you get older, it gets even harder. That is why people who have had gastric bypass surgery (such as myself) often need to have abdominoplasty because thier skin is stretched out. My sister had one after her surgery because the extra skin caused her skin to become very irritated.(I wont have my tummy tuck til after kids and to tell you the truth, it doesnt look that bad).No amount of crunches will get the skin to bounce back. I have been doing 300-500 crunches 3 times a week for three years and the skin is still there. Sure my muscles are strong but the skin doesnt budge. That would certainly justify plastic surgery.

I had wanted to get breast implants and a nose job.

I have a bump on my nose that always bothered me especially when I was younger.
I also always wanted a bigger chest.

But I probably will never do it. I hate pain.

You had gastric bypass surgery?

I have so many questions concerning that surgery. I had known someone that had that done.
My sis was also at one time thinking about getting it done.

I had a nose job last September and it was by far one of the best decisions of my life. My nose had bothered me for as long as I can remember, and I had a bump and it was huge. I have so much more confidence now and I didn't do too much I didnt wanna look like i had it done and its only a subtle difference, i am still healiing to this day, it takes over a year for the tip swelling to go down. but its soo worth it, if you are just doing it for yourself and it will make you feel better about yourself, go for it...lol

Yes I did. I was very successful too. As was my sister. Best decision I ever made in my life. However, as I stated before it is not, irepeat IT IS NOT PLASTIC, COSMETIC OR RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY and should never be confused or compared to it. Feel free to FM me about it. If your sister has any questions, she can FM me too.

No. Getting my teeth fixed is the closest I came to it.
