I like how everyone seems to bring something different to the table. ideas, backgrounds, and different things that they're passionate about. i love how people will be there to support you 100% w/o having ever met you, but will also tell you, Honestly, when they disagree with your idea-- all in a way to help make sure that your day is as great as it should be. I love that when i went to a gtg, i felt like i had known these people forever. and that there really are some genuine women here that i'm glad i've been lucky enough to become friends with. Sometimes it reminds me of college- like those weekends where there was nothing to do, and you end up staying up all night talking to someone you hadn't ever really spoken too before, but now a new relationship has sparked from that (like to those of us who sit at home on saturday nights and Bug out together ). I love the sincerity of some, and the brutal honesty of others. and it means alot when you get to share your happy moments, and minor achievements with everyone... and Know that they are just as excited for you! i love that when people put the HUG icon- i know that they Mean it. and how much we are there for each other when one of us encounters heartache in our lives. the best thing about the '05 board is the women on it-- that work together to make each others wedding feel as special as it should; that support each other when life gets rough; and that give me faith that there are still so many good people out there that do care even without having ever met you.

The common bond we all have going through the wedding planning process at the same time. I feel 'safe' to post my pics here because I will get honesty and friendly advice and best of all... I get to talk to my friends!

the best thing about the 05 board is the wonderful people on it. i cant count how many fm's i got the other day when i was stressed and vented here. it was amazing. the support everyone gives to each other and how you can come here to ask about ANYTHING and always get great advice. i love the 05 girls

I think the best thing about this site is the Administrators. I really have a genuine appreciation to them for putting up with us and doing everything they do for us. Thanks Ron and Liz (and Company ) I also have some really great friends because of this site.

WOW....where do I start?

In short, you guys are the first people I 'talk' to every morning. You all give me some unbelievable support, and are just truly genuine people...I honestly look forward to all of your weddings, and not just my own.

The best thing about LIW is all the new friends I have made. I love chatting with everyone and sharing ideas. This is the best site I have ever joined.

I think the topics on this board are more interesting than other places. That's just one thing, though. Although I don't think i know any of you personally, I like the comraderie--being able to discuss and agree or disagree without a lot of judgement. I really appreciate that about all of you ladies (and the few gents on here too!) Since most of my friends are already married, and have never experienced a 'Long Island wedding' its comforting to know I can ask all of you stuff!

wow nee - you NEVER fail to suprise me with your warm philopshy side

i joined LIW in FEB - i had just booked my hall & was talking my FH to death. SO i figured i needed another outlet. I never knew i would be blessed to know such wonderful women (sorry dont know too many guys..yet)
At the first GTG i felt comfortable & talked wedding with others that UNDERSTAND
We started the GMB etc - no other baord does that !!!

As the year rolls to an end, things have come up that affect me & my 05 ladies rally to my cause. There have been many 'blue' days. but they have AWLAYS been there for me.

So i LOVE my 05 board for its wedding talk, QOTD, diverse topics - yes we get drama - but we TRY?? to keep it to a minimum

PS I HARDLY post on any other board

i took off the caps this way there wont be any misjudgement. no, i do not mean only certain people, i love this whole board, 99.99%!
i think i define 'nice' the same way you , and everyone else does!
if it werent for this board who knows where i would be in regaurds to my wedding... it probably wouldnt have been any better than Britney Spears first one~

(ok, well maybe alittle bit better)

i have truly learned alot from the women on here.... not just about weddings, but about much more as well. I am very fortuante to have found this site..

The sense of community is the most important thing to me - I would truly feel alone in this process if it were not for LIW and especially the support on this board.

My mother and sisters thought I was a nutjob when I was stressing about my gown - they just kept telling me to 'pick one.' NOT THAT EASY!!!

Fortunately, only you ladies understood how 'not easy' that was, and then shared in my joy when I did find 'the one.'

So my answer: Community. Common understanding of the insanity that is wedding planning.

As an out of towner (I am in Maryland), I really appreciate having this board because of all the helpful suggestions and recommendations I get from here. It has spared me from countless hours of research and detective work trying to find good vendors, etc since I only get up to LI every 4-6 weeks.

I enjoy sharing my ideas and excitement with all of you - we are indeed a community. And even though I can't participate in some of the GTGs and will not make it up to LI for Wedding Of The Year, I hope all of you know how much I enjoy being on this board with all of you!!
