QOTD January 11 2011

Gooooooood morning!!!!! Happy Tuesday-- hope you're all doing amazing today!!!!!! THE SNOW IS COMING ahhhhhhhh!!!!

ok... so tell me the best part of your relationship. The GLUE per se. What is it that makes your relationship as amazing as it is!!!

For FH and I... its COMMUNICATION first and foremost. We tell eachother everything-- i dont think we've ever been mad at eachother for more than an hour-- its weird and people look as us like we're crazy but i dont HIDE A THING from him...he knows about my not so pretty past... but it helps because i never have to be scared of him finding anyhting out

Secondly-- we let things slide-- dont get ourselves worked up about things too much.

and lastly.... our ability to just be stupid funny and have a great time together!!!!!!

our ability to laugh at each other, and not listen to anyone else but each ourselves.

There are so many times in my mind i think 'Why isnt he doing this, Jen would never let this happen in her relationship' but then i realize that there we are all diff in everything so i can never compare to anyone

plus we have the same interests and that always helps

We have amazing communication, we respect eachother, and most importantly after all that, we just love laughing with eachother. The root of it all I think is our genuine comfort and love with eachother. I can't imagine being with anyone else around me all the time

I'd have to say it's communication and sense of humor. Neither one of us hold in our feelings so we really never have any blow out fights. If something is bothering one of us we let the other one know right then and there.

As far as sense of humor, we are both silly and love to laugh. He's the only person in my life who can totally pisssss me off and then 2 seconds later make me crack up!!

We always say we are each other's best friend

that we accept each other for who we are. Period. And it's because we accpet the other person for who they are that we rarely get into arguments.

Throughout the years we learned to shut people's opinions and views out and it really saved our relationship. People always want to give you their 5 cents and comment on everything that is going on. If you listen to everyone and everything, you will go nuts!!! In the past, we would succumb to gossip and he-said-she-said and it would tear us apart. We learned to listen to each other, trust each other, have faith in each other and that made us stronger.

We learned to accept each other, flaws and all and love each other for who we are.

We compliment each other. I'm very soft spoken; he's loud. I'm a people pleaser; he looks out for us. So on and so on.

We definitely balance each other out.

Also, I've never been able to communicate with anyone the way we do with each other. It's so important, and I'm glad we are so open with each other.

Honestly, I think it's our faith. If I had to pinpoint the true backbone of our relationship, I think the fact that we are both practicing and active Catholics is what continues to strengthen the bond between us.

I would def say being able to enjoy each others company while doing absolutely nothing. We looooove spending time together being silly and we're one of those annoying couples that does literally everything together.

We are always open and honest and we talk about everything. We really do complete each other and FH always says we balance each other out. I love how we also have the same type of humor and personality.. We can laugh at or make anything funny

I think part of it is that we are both easy going. We don't let things bother us, so we never fight.

The other big part is that we are both obsessed with Disney. :) We're in a long distance relationship and having that in common helps to give us lots to talk about (well it provides a nice break from wedding talk).

he is totally the ying to my yang...we are so different but go together so well...he completey mellows me out and things dont bother me like they did with other people

we communicate really well, i tell him everything and he always see's the positive in everything which is great!

he lets me be me and i have to change who i am

This. We also make sure to be brutally honest with each other. Also, FH is starting to realize we are our own family entity now, and it helps keep his parents at bay (which means less arguments).
