QOTD - July 27, 2014

How much time off from work, school, etc. do you plan to take for your wedding?

In an ideal world, I hope to be able to take about 2 weeks off of work for my wedding and honeymoon.

I'd like to have a couple of days off before the wedding, a day to take it all in before the honeymoon and then a week for honeymooning.

Bonus question: Are you taking your honeymoon right after your wedding?

I may take one week off. Hopefully the thursday/ friday before and then the Mon/Tues/Weds after. We will do the honeymoon about 5 months later. Easier to swing with both time off and finances!

I'll probably take a few days off before and since we're planning on honeymoon within a day or two, the week or so after also.

QOTD - July 27, 2014

Well... originally I was planning on taking 3 days off before the wedding because my job pays 3 marriage days and then a 2 week honeymoon--1 week at a sandals and one week home together or camping or something but I found a payroll error in my paychecks and my job has shorted me a week vacation since 2012 and they owe me a lot of time so I def def def plan on taking 3 weeks off!!

I'm taking a week before and a week after. We're going to wait until May 2016 to take our honeymoon so we can save and that's when FH's sister is getting married.

QOTD - July 27, 2014

Luckily for me I have an early closing on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day we are closed. So I will be taking off the day before the big day and week after for the honeymoon and that Monday so I can regroup. Lol so in all actuality I will be taking 7 days. Luckily for me it's not that busy so my bosses are not totally freaking out however they are freaking out just enough. Smh

Re: QOTD - July 27, 2014

I don't think I will be able to take any time off =(.. I just landed a full time teaching job and need to make a good impression! Luckily, I will have the Monday after off due to Memorial Day. We will have to wait until after the school year to take our honeymoon, so we will probably have to wait a month and a half to go on it!

My cousin got married this past Memorial Day weekend and she is also a teacher so she was in the same boat. They took their honeymoon right after the school year ended. I think it was good in a way because it gave them something to look forward to!

I'm taking two weeks after I get married for the honeymoon - we're leaving the day after the wedding. Since we have a Sunday, I think I might just take a personal day friday as well in order to make sure I have the time to do everything.

We are getting married on a Friday and I am off the whole week leading up to the wedding because it is my Spring Break from school. I'm happy to have the whole week to do last minute things and just relax before the big day. We will take our honeymoon in July once I am off for the summer.

I've been undecided with this! I'm getting married on a Saturday so I wanted to take Thurs/Fri off before...then our honeymoon isn't until the week after, but I really don't want to go back to work for a week then take off again so I might just take the 2 weeks off after the wedding

I'm going to try and take off Thurs and fri before and the week after. We are hoping that we can both get vacation the week after so we can go on our honeymoon. We are at the mercy of our jobs for that...hoping our coworkers will understand and not pick that week
