QOTD: May 18, 2011

Woohoo to it being Wednesday! The work week is almost over!

Today's question:

To get in shape for your wedding and to fit in your wedding gown, what have you been doing?

I'm a member at a gym. I try to go at least 3 - 4 times a week. I've been doing cardio from 40 minutes to over an hour, each time I go. Also, since my dress is strapless, I've been trying to get my arms toned so I don't have any flab! I want my arms to look nice in my pictures! So I've been working with weights 2x a week for my arms.

My goal hasn't been to lose weight, its been to stay the same. My theory is, I don't want to lose tons of weight and then end up putting it all back on after FH and I get married(Since they say the first year you gain weight!). Does that make sense? lol

My first fitting is on the 1st so I hope my arms look nice by then!

FH and I have both been working out hardcore since January (Our weeding is 8/5).... We do a combination of P90x, running and the gym throughout the week. We both couldn't run a 1/2 mile at the time... now we are up to almost 5 miles!! We are both in our best shape since high school!! He has lost 35 lbs and I have lost 20! :0) First fitting is next week... so we will see how it goes!!!!

Weight Watchers and exercise. Though I will say the last 2 months leading up to the wedding I did not go to the gym once (seriously just didn't have any time). But up until that point WW and exercise helped me to lose 15 pounds before the big day and I love the way I looked and felt (still do).

I hired a trainer. I worked out regularly before getting engaged and I've never had a problem with my weight luckily. All I really wanted to do was to tone up, which I really didn't know how to do myself. My trainer is an ex-arena football player and he really kicks my tush, but its working

I've been doing a lot of walking and weights.

I live in a hilly area of DC, so I walk for an hour after work then do weights. I've definitely noticed it in my legs

I started exercising right when we got engaged and got myself to my goal weight at about the 6 month mark. Now I'm just trying to maintain. Honestly, I've found the best way for me to stay slim is counting calories (although I never do on the weekends).

I've been doing Insanity...since I'm done now I have been just doing whatever tapes I liked the best 5 times a week I def toned up, but surprisingly didn't lose any weight. I blame it on going too crazy on the weekends, which start on Friday after work with drinks!! Alcohol is killing my weight loss plan.

I'll do another round of Insanity before the wedding. And right now, I might mix in my zumba kinect games just for fun maybe on the weekends if I'm up for it!

I used to be a runner, but I've had so many knee and ankle issues I had to give it up.

I've been going to the gym 3 times a week. I'm trying to build some muscle but keep toned. I do all sorts of squats, lunges, butt workouts--anything to give my lower body some oomph FH doesn't like when I work my upper body bc my arms get really defined and I look like a linebacker

I need tips on how to work out the lower abs! I hate crunches!

I was successful on WW in the past. Lost 20 pounds. I have so busy with work and planning I am too busy or tired to get to the gym. So I try to go 2-3 times per week, but I try to measure my food and eat the right portions. I am a teacher so as soon as summer hits then I will have more time to get to the gym.

I only have a few pounds to go really and then toning it is
