What kind of ceremony are you having at your wedding?

My FH and I are doing a sand ceremony. We liked how it was different and interesting. :) Since our colors are champagne, ivory and blush pink we chose to use champagne and ivory colored sand.. it also matches our apartment..cant wait to display it after the wedding.. hope it comes out good :)

We are having a non-religious ceremony & we will be lighting a unity candle.

We're having a unity candle and we're picking a reading from the bible.

We are doing a non religious ceremony with one reading, the blessing of the hands. It's really beautiful and different!

We had a non religious ceremony and my DH gave my two daughters a necklace and made a vow to them symbolizing that we're now a family

I love the sand idea. That's what we did! The only thing is ....when the hall boxed everything up for us, they laid the vases down, so the sand got all mixed up and didn't stay the way we had it after the ceremony. Bummer!! Oh well. Maybe on our anniversary we will get some more sand and redo it.

We did a sand ceremony. I didn't like the candle because then you blow it out. I wanted something that could represent our past together and I just love sand in jars.

May I also add a question?? Hope people see this :)

I know for some ceremony's you have to choose a reading..what is everyone using for the reading? We are having a non religious ceremony..and I was thinking using lyrics from a song or from a book..I dont know..I feel like i am going to have such a hard time with this. Any help would be great! If I cant find anything I am going to use
1 Corinthians 13:4 -Love is Patient Love is Kind..

When I purchased my jars from ETSY..the main jar that you pour both sands into didn't come with a top. This scared me..bc i knew the transporting process after the wedding was going to be hard. So she game me a top for it. Sorry that it got messed up :( they should have known better to stand them upright but i think re doing it on your anniversary actually sounds fun! do you have any pictures of your sand ceremony? did you do a reading while you were pouring the sand?

I'll FM you a pic! I know, they def should've known better! The DJ actually just played a song during the ceremony. Oh, and you were asking about readings. His aunt read the Irish Blessing and my brother read 'On Love' by Thomas Kempis. It's really nice. If you want me to email it to you, let me know or you can google it
