Thanks again to Marisa for making me BOTW!! I'm excited to be BOTW during this Holiday week.... Which brings me to my QOTD.
The Holiday's really bring back a lot of memories for me and help me hold on to the past just a little more. So, I'm wondering which Holiday memory you most cherish and why?
My favorite Holiday memory is from when I was around 4 years old - I sat on my dad's lap and read (note: from memory) 'The Night Before Christmas' to my entire family. Everyone still talks about it like it was yesterday.. And that really reminds me of how the Holidays are a time to cherish the old times, but also create new memories with friends and family that will last a lifetime.

This is so cute.
The one memory that I'll always remember is when I was young and we my brothers and I got those sweet sweet neon jogging suits and those neon sunglasses. Well we decided to start a band that holiday and we wore all of our sweet gear and put on a show for our family. I wish I had the picture scanned.. it's one of those awesome memories....

I always remember how my little sister would come into my room and jump on my bed to wake me up to open our bed presents. My parents would put a toy at the end of our beds and we would just play until they woke up.
My sister still comes in and wakes me up every Christmas morning, even though she is 28

For New Year's one year, our family decided to do a secret santa type of thing (w/ my siblings and parents). It was so much fun, I remember all of us trying to figure out what to buy for the other, some people wishing they had someone easier to buy for hah.

I have so many memories of this time of year so it is hard to pick just one...but, I have to say that one of my last Christmas' before I moved here was truly special.
My dad usually writes a letter to each of the members of our immediate family and the letter he wrote that year was super special. It made me so emotional and I saved it for a long time because it was basically saying that even though he gave me a hard time about moving out here, he finally admitted that he would miss me and he's proud of me...He's an artist so he drew a little sketch of the NY skyline at the bottom of the letter.. It was sweet!

The holiday memory i will always remember is the story about santa my mom used to tell us
We celebrate Xmas Eve.... and every xmas eve around 1130 pm my dad would ALAWAYS get 'sleepy' and want to take a nap--- and then at 12 santa would come and my dad would miss him!!!!!! When i started to get suspicious that my dad was santa my mom told me that since santa has so many houses to visit he sprinkles 'magic dust' on all the dads and all the dads get sleepy and go take a nap and come back as santa and they dont know it because they are hynotized.
So when my dad would come back from his 'nap' at like 1230ish--- i would tell him he missed santa and he was always upset... and i'd turn to look at my mom cause i knew the secret and she would wink.... and its just my favorite favorite memory about the holidays and i cant wait to tell my children the same story.

I remember when me and my brother was little we thought that we would wait up to see santa so we staked out under the dining room table. We were trying to catch him putting the presents under the tree. lol ... we both fell asleep and therefore couldn't catch him in the act. Ahhhh the days Santa was real.

My family always had a way of making Christmas so special. From Eve at Grandma's to morning at ours.
One of my favorite memories is waking up before my mom and brother and coming out into the living room. My dad always woke up very early, so the tree would be lit, the fire would be going and my dad would have the video camera set up on the tri-pod to tape us opening. We would talk in really hushed voices and have toast for breakfast. I just miss those mornings.
