How soon after the wedding are you and your FH planning on having children?


This answer about when the right time to have a child is such an individual couple one. Only the couple knows when they're ready to make that comittment, and are able to do so financially and emotionally. I strongly believe that no one should try to talk a couple into or out of when they should have a baby.

As for us, we've decided are probably going to wait two years. Although we will be together as a couple for 8years by 2011 ( yes we made our decision for a 2011 wedding, just have to book a RH again ), we never live together and I want to enjoy being husband and wife. Some of my family is disappointed in that decision, but they realize it's our decision to make

We would like to have them soon. We are not taking our HM until November/December of 2011 so we are thinking of maybe trying then.

We are def going to wait a couple of years. Like Cindy, FH and I don't live together. FH and I are really looking forward to finally living together after getting married and want to enjoy just being husband and wife for a while. We also want to do some more travelling before having children. I will be 26 by the time we get married and will probably have my first baby at 28 or 29.

Right away!!!! I am so ready and want babies right away, and lately FH is talking about it all the time. We're going to start trying as soon as we're married! Can't wait.

We would like to have them soon so we will start working on that after the wedding lol but the reasoning for us wanting kids right away is because the sooner we have them the sooner we get rid of them and get to enjoy the rest of our lives / old age together lol

we're going to try as soon as we're married! I want babies now, but he wants to wait a few years. So we've comprised to wait until we're married : )

No babies for us..combined we have 4..2 from his previous marriage 1 for me and 1 together..stick a fork in us we are DONE

FH and I arent really sure if we want to have children or not. Our minds flip flop. Sometimes we want them, sometimes we dont. So we'll wait when the time comes to figure out if children are really for us.

We will be starting the day we get married I'll be 29 the month after we get married and I feel the good old biological clock ticking. Both FH & I can not wait to have kids.

defffff waiting!!!! maybe 3-4 years after FH is finished with his residency, we'll see how we feel when the time comes

SOON after... like as soon as possible.... we will be together 5 years total and living together 3 years at the wedding, i will be 32 and FH 29... so RIGHT AWAY... lol

Probably only wait like a year or 2. He will be 33 when we get married and Ill be 29. We don't want to wait too long bc we want a few children.

We have a girl already (shes 3) sooooo we want to have #2 right away (we will both be 29 going on 30) ( I want another girl lol)

Waiting!!!!! I'm in no rush to have kids, I want to enjoy married life first, and enjoy JUST my hubbies company. We also want to buy a house first! So maybe like 3 years after the wedding, I'll be 31, sounds good to me!!

We plan on waiting a few years.. well maybe more than a few. We plan on traveling and we definitely want to be settled into a home of our own before we bring kiddies into the world. I am hoping to be 30 or 31 and FH will be 34/35. If all goes well that is! That will be 5 years after the wedding, which I think gives us plenty of time to come up with a down payment for a house.
