My first question is 'What songs will you have on your do not play list at your wedding??'
I will have Lady Gaga 'Alejandro' song NOT played, no Cotton Eyed Joe or dollar dance or any type of line dancing (I love electric slide but FH said hell no), 'Whomp there it is' or 'baby got back' is a hell no for me. Those are the only ones I can think of right now. I'm sure there will be more once I read your posts!

NO cheesy dance songs, and the #1 song on my do not play is moves like jagger... i just hate that song! lol

Right now - Red Solo Cup is my least favorite song - and I also can't stand Moves Like Jagger.
I'm also skipping most line dances - but I think we decided to keep the YMCA.

We are not having a do not play list. My brother is that guy that requests 'the humpty dance' at every wedding, so we figured if someone really wants to hear something is it worth us having the dj tell them no? **And I'm so opposite everyone I talk to about this, but I'm def having a line dance montage! I want my cotton eyed joe, electric slide, cupid shuffle and wobble! ahahah

Whenever I come up with one I go on my playlist site for them and I wrote the songs LOL!!! I even have songs that must be played. So funny you brought this up today because my dad gave me a list of PLEASE PLAY!!!! Some slow songs!!
As for the fun dances not sure if I want that. I do want LIVING ON A PRAYER played!!!!! My whole family gets into it!!

No cotton eyed joe, dollar dance, or that chacha dance. FH says no macarena. He also just said no sweet Caroline bc it's the red sox song ad we r getting married during baseball season. Yea he is def being overruled on this one.

I'm having a Band so a lot of the 'radio' songs that annoy me probably won't be an issue. I will probably have a few songs I don't want, but it's too early to think of them now.

LMAO I love Living on a Prayer...like the clubby version. Some songs are so cheesy but when people have a few drinks they all start fist pumping and doing crazy dancing and this really cracks me up.
We are actually doing a soul train line thing where the dj will ask the crowd to make two lines and the first two people will dance their way though and then the next 2 people. Our families and friends will be hialrious to watch! I have to pick a good song for this!

We aren't doing any organized dances, rap, or hip hop. We have a REALLLLLLY long play list, so I'm sure that's all our DJ will be playing from!

i can't think of any offhand! FH & I are working with my brother (who is a ridiculous all knowing music god) to create the perfect playlist of jazz, 50s/60s oldies, motown, some eighties and nineties, alternative and indie stuff - essentially, our dj is getting a 'upload all of these and then push play' list.

I def don't want any line dances. Although we might throw the cha cha slide in there but if we do that is it. FH doesn't want any of the 50, 60, 70 mixes that he hears every weekend. And then there certain songs we have for other reasons.
