Sorry ladies that I'm posting QOTD so late- Saturday morning are always a little nuts lol

Is there anyone who has assumed that they were in your BP when you weren't going to ask them? Was there anyone you asked that was shocked you asked? Has anyone assumed you were inviting them when you don't plan on inviting them?

I have actually had all three things happen- my aunt for some reason assumed she was going to be one of my BMs. I love her to death but just know she can be unreliable at times & didn't want the stress of chasing after her. I may make her my something blue or have her do a reading at church haven't decided yet. My MOH was actually shocked I asked her- she is my BBF but we have had our ups & downs over the years & she knows how important family is to me. She figured she would be in the bridal party just not the MOH. I actually had someone who I haven't seen in years (atleast 5 years if not more) only chatted with on FB tell me that if she isn't in my bridal party she hopes she is atleast invited to the wedding- that's isn't an invite that is going out sorry.

Not with my bp, but someone who FH has mutual friends with, posted on my FB wall saying 'keep me updated with a wedding date!' And literally my FH has never hung out with him if not in a setting with their mutual friends.

Luckily for me only one of those things happened (so far). I asked FH's brother's gf to be in the bridal party and she seemed thrilled but surprised. It doesn't matter to me that they aren't engaged, and though we don't see each other all the time (she's in Jersey, I'm in Brooklyn), I already feel like we're SILs

No one assumed they were in my BP. There was one BM who cried when I asked her b/c she was so excited but she wound up being the BM from Hell and eventually dropped out so let's not talk about her lol. Someone actually said 'Can't wait for the wedding to my FH.' We were at their wedding a few years ago & haven't seen them since so we're not inviting them. Needless to say, that was an awkward moment for FH.

As far as the briadal party I dont think either was an issue. I have a feeling that some people feel they are invited when they are not.

I don't think anyone was shocked that I asked. I know that FH's sister wanted to be in it, but didn't expect to be.
