Hey girlies hope you are all enjoying the weekend!!

We all have our little splurges, I know I do. Sometimes Mastercard is not my friend Lol!!

What is the one thing for you wedding that you spared no expense, no matter how much it cost you had to have it?

What is one thing you sacrified, or did spend to much on, you didnt feel it was as important?

For me my splurge was my makeup and hair!! i was going to be a 'DIVA' and i didnt care how much it cost.

The sacrifice had to be the cigar roller, i felt like it wasnt that important and half the wedding would be outside and i didnt want that, so i got Fh a kick a$$ grooms cake!

I definitely think hair and airbrush was what i decided to spend a lot on. My wedding is on a very strict budget and I cut corners as much as I could, but I knew that this was something I wanted to come out just right.

There were a few things I didnt have to save us some money. But I would have to say, the most I saved on was flowers (because I didnt do CPs). Our hall is going to give us fresh flowers on the table-works for me!

Our splurges:

Steel drums for the cocktail hour
A sorta pricey makeup artist because he did a great job!
And after I was so unhappy about my 1st dress, we decided to buy a 2nd one which wasn't in the budget.
Also, at some point when I was doing bathroom baskets, I decided I really wanted personalized mints/tins & personalized lip glosses.

I splurged on my cake topper.....it was really only a splurge because I ordered it 2 weeks before and had to have it express shipped from canada so the shipping almost cost more than the topper.

Other than that we set our budget and kept to it and I was able to have everything I wanted but then again.....I wanted a simple chic wedding so I didnt have to eliminate extras cause they were never there to begin with.

My major splurges were my Venetian Masks for reception decor, and my hair and makeup. Technically I guess you can say adding the cheesecake martini bar too, but it was only $5/pp and in lieu of doing a Viennese, so in that sense it was actually a savings. The masks were EXPENSIVE, but I had to have them...and I'll have them forever with the rest of my collection! And unfortunately, one of my worst qualities is my vanity, so I didn't want to spare any expense to make sure I look as good as humanly possible.

We saved money on the florist, because we didn't want to spend money on things that would die, so we bought our own non-floral CPs (on sale LOL), and saved a TON of money there. We also saved money by not going overboard on extras (slipper baskets, bathroom baskets, crypacks, etc.), going low bid on limos, bargaining with vendors, and just overall being really smart shoppers. I'm very proud of what we're pulling off for a very modest by LIW standards budget.

Biggest splurges are going with a band instead of a dj and my hair and makeup.

We're saving money by DIYing a lot of stuff like programs, favors, cry packs, bubbles and a ton of other stuff!

I too spared no expense on my hair because my hair can be difficult at times to tame so i wanted someone that does excellent work also my DOJ i wanted some gorgeous stuff

We had to sacrifice a cigar roller as well we wanted it but decided against it at the end.
