QOTD: Saturday 1/8/11: FAVORS FAVORS FAVORS!!

Im so sad that my week has come to an end....time flies when you are having fun!! BUT i am so happy we have gotten to know eachother a little bit more....

on to the question.... SO, does anyone know what they are doing for favors? feel free to post or even share any cool favor ideas that you have seen online! (it doesnt necessarily have to be what YOU are doing)

this way we can bounce stuff off of eachother!

I dont know what I am doing for favors...all I know is that I dont want to give out something that people with throw out...

Here are some ideas I was thinking of...

Donation to Cancer society (my FHs aunt passed for Cancer)

Bamboos (which signify good luck)

Photo Albums OR picture frames

still searching for something that is not too pricey but useful!!

Not really sure yet...

maybe cupcakes for the engagement party?

As for the wedding, I definitely want to make a donation to American Heart Society (my grandfather & FH's grandfather had heart issues), American Cancer Society (my grandmother passed away from colon cancer) or American Lupus Society (my mother has lupus). We'll probably do a favor too (maybe something edible?)

Im not sure..When we were doing beach theme we were going to do flip flops with a holder thing, (its a stick that holds a pic)..do u know what im talking about?? and we were going to put the table cards at the end, and it would double as a favor.

now im not too sure! maybe something edible? or wine?

I saw a cute thing at Party City of a coaster where you can put a picture in it and i kinda like it, but nothing is set yet and i know i'll change my mind like 20 times before then

We're doing a photobooth and I consider the photos the favors...

But I've also been tossing aroud the idea of wine to take home (one of the ones where proceeds go towards the 9/11 or widows fund) or wine stoppers, my mom is really into me giving something tangible

A donation to the Nader Rock n rollover foundation which s a foundation I started when fh dad died of parkinsons.

Other ideas I have seen that were cute is wind bottle with personalized label, ice cream scooper, little bottle of champagne and Shot glasses which are personalized

We were thinking having a hot pretzel stand outside my RH as a late night snack as our favors. We also thought we might add a little somethng else that can take with them, like m&ms.

We decided immediately that we wanted to make a donation, probably to two places, we just haven't narrowed down our choices yet!

We are having a photo booth at our wedding so the guests will be taking home their photos along with a frame.

I saw these in a magazine and thought they were a cute idea, maybe not for a wedding but maybe for a bridal shower with personalized m&m's.

FH and I will be using the money that we would have spend on favors to make donations in our guests name. We will be doing a donation to American Heart Association since FH and I both have heart conditions as have many members of both of our families. We will also be donating to Alzheimer's Association for members of my family.
